"Nong Phuwin, what are you looking for?" Fort, Satang's bodyguard, asked, noticing Phuwin shuffling around the apartment, still dressed in his sleeping pajamas, his eyes searching anxiously.

"Ahh, Phi... where’s Pond? He’s always near my room when I wake up," Phuwin replied, his voice trembling slightly, laced with uncertainty.

Fort shifted uncomfortably. "Pond had to go back to the U.S. this morning. Emergency leave. He’ll be gone for two weeks, maybe more..."

Each word hit Phuwin like a blow. His world seemed to crumble slowly, piece by piece.

"But... he didn’t even say..." Phuwin stammered, his body wavering as he struggled to comprehend the sudden absence.

Fort sighed, his voice low. "I’m not sure what the urgent matter is. He informed P’Mix, the band manager, and security, but no details. He left without much of a word."

Phuwin stared blankly at Fort, trying to mask his growing panic, his thoughts spinning out of control.

"Oh, okay..." he managed to mutter, retreating to his bedroom, his heart sinking.

---

"The number you have dialed is currently unreachable..." The automated voice rang in his ears for the fifth time. Frustrated, Phuwin tossed his phone onto the bed, the familiar voice only fueling his anger.

"Damn you, Pond... fucker," he whispered harshly, his eyes burning with frustration as he sank onto the edge of the bed, unable to shake the growing knot of worry in his chest.

Flashback,

The kiss was unlike anything he had ever known. Breathless, their lips met in a secret world beneath the water, where time stood still. When they finally resurfaced, Pond and Phuwin remained close, their foreheads touching in the moonlit pool. For a moment, nothing was said. Only the sound of their heavy breathing lingered between them, their hearts pounding from the intensity of the kiss.

Phuwin’s arms stayed wrapped around Pond's neck, his breathing still uneven as he opened his eyes to gaze at Pond, who still had his closed. There was something about the man before him—the strong grip on his waist, the silent yet powerful presence, the way droplets of water clung to Pond’s long eyelashes under the soft glow of the pool lights. The sight of him, with his perfectly chiseled features and lips slightly parted, mesmerized Phuwin. It was like staring at a painting come to life—one that only he could fully appreciate.

"Pond..." Phuwin whispered, but before he could say more, Pond opened his eyes and interrupted him.

"Mr. Tangsakyuen, you should head back to your room. You might catch a cold."

Phuwin blinked, momentarily taken aback by the sudden shift in Pond’s tone. "We..."

Again, Pond cut him off, effortlessly cradling Phuwin in his arms as he carried him out of the water. "You need to dry off, Phuwin. You’ve got a concert in two days, and we can’t risk your voice," he said, his professionalism back in full force.

Phuwin was left speechless, confusion swirling in his mind as he silently followed Pond's lead. It was as though the magic of the kiss had evaporated as quickly as the water on their skin. Pond was no longer the man who had kissed him beneath the stars; he had slipped back into the cold, detached role of a bodyguard, once again distant and composed.

Pond's eyes, once filled with that mysterious spark, had dulled, his expression unreadable.

"Get changed. If you need anything, call me," Pond said, his voice flat, his eyes not quite meeting Phuwin’s as he escorted him to his room.
