After pulling away from the hug, Arohi looked at Shivay with a mischievous smile. “I’m hungry,” she said softly.
Without missing a beat, Shivay's face lit up with concern. “What do you want to eat? I’ll make anything for you,” he responded eagerly.
Arohi chuckled. “Can you even cook?”
Shivay puffed out his chest with pride. “Of course! What do you expect? This man can do everything. You just give the order.”
She smiled playfully. “I want something you’re an expert at making.”
“Alright,” Shivay said, confidently. “I’ll make it for you. Just wait here.”
Arohi tilted her head. “Umm, can I come with you to the kitchen?”
He hesitated for a second, thinking about the possibility of his parents coming home early, but then decided to take the risk. “Fine, but we’ll head back up quickly if they show up.”
They walked into the kitchen, and Arohi stood in front of him as he started to gather ingredients. He decided to make his favorite and well-prepared dish—**paneer bhurji**.
As Shivay began chopping vegetables, Arohi watched him closely, her smile growing. “Should I chop some for you?” she asked, offering her help.
Shivay shook his head. “No, you relax. I’ve got this. Just sit and wait.”
She couldn’t help but admire him as he worked, his hands moving with skill and confidence. Sitting on the kitchen stool, she felt as if everything had slowed down. The moment was perfect. Shivay, her man, was here—cooking for her, caring for her, making her feel special. It was as if the world around them had faded away, leaving just the two of them in their peaceful little bubble.
After finishing the dish, Shivay carefully plated the **paneer bhurji** and brought it over to Arohi, who was sitting eagerly at the kitchen stool. He placed the plate in front of her with a proud smile.
“Here you go, madam. My special recipe,” he said, standing back with his arms crossed, watching her reaction closely.
Arohi took a bite, and her eyes widened as the flavors hit her taste buds. “Wow, this is amazing! It's delicious!” she exclaimed, her voice filled with genuine surprise and joy.
Shivay couldn’t hide his grin. “Told you, I can do everything.”
Arohi smiled back, playfully rolling her eyes. “Alright, alright, I’ll give it to you—this is pretty impressive.” She took another bite, savoring the dish. “I think I might come here more often just for your cooking.”
Shivay laughed softly, his eyes warm. “You’re welcome anytime, Arohi.”

As Shivay watched Arohi enjoying the meal he had prepared, a smile of satisfaction spread across his face.
“I think you should have a bite,” Arohi said, offering him a piece of the dish.
“No, it’s for you,” Shivay protested, though his eyes softened as he looked at her.
“Oh, come on,” Arohi insisted, her eyes twinkling with mischief. “I can’t eat alone, and you should have some too.” She gently fed him a bite, and the joy in her expression was undeniable.
Shivay took the bite, savoring the taste while his gaze remained fixed on her. The act of her feeding him was unexpectedly intimate, and it warmed his heart. Arohi’s smile grew as she watched him, her own heart fluttering at the closeness.
After they finished eating, it was nearly 11 PM. They made their way back to Shivay’s room upstairs.
“Okay, I’ve spent a wonderful time with you,” Arohi said, her smile genuine and soft.
