Aashvi pov

As I was going for my next class, my phone rang. I smiled as I saw my dad's name on the screen.

"Namaste, Papa," I said, answering the call.

"Namaste, beta," my dad, Mayur, replied, his voice stern and familiar. "Kesi ho, beta?"

(how are you ,child)

"Me thik hu, Papa. Aap sab kese hai?" I asked.

( iam fine dad , how all you are ?)

" Hum sab bhi thik hai, beta," my dad replied.
(we are all fine too)

Just then, my mom, Rupa, got on the phone. "Aashvi, beta, college kesa hai? Koi pareshani to nhi hai?"
(aashvi , how is college , is there is any problem )

"Nhi, Maa, koi pareshani nhi hai. Or college bhi bohot acha hai," I said, feeling a sense of relief.
(No,mom, i have no problem and college is too good )

My mom asked, "Apna khana time pe kha rhi ho na?"
(you are having you food on time ? )

"Haan, Maa, main apna khana time pe kha rhi hu," I replied.
(yes ,mom i am having my food on time)

Then i checked time on watch

"Acha, Maa-Papa, main aapse baad me baat karungi. Meri class ka time ho gya hai. Bye, love you," I said.

(ok mom-dad i will talk to you later , it's time for my class )

"Love you too, beta," my mom replied, though her tone was a bit cold.

I felt a sense of unease towards my parents. They had always been critical of me, and I knew they only wanted me to meet their expectations.

I grabbed my bag and headed out the door, feeling a bit anxious for the day ahead.

As I walked into the classroom, I spotted Kabir sitting in his usual seat. He smiled at me, and I felt my heart skip a beat.

"Hey, Aashvi!" he said, as I sat down beside him. "How's it going?"

I smiled back at him, feeling a sense of ease. "Hey, Kabir. I'm good. Just got off the phone with my parents."

Kabir's eyes sparkled with interest. "Oh? What did they say?"

I leaned in, feeling a sense of comfort. "Just the usual. They're always on my case about something."

Kabir nodded understandingly. "I know how that is. My parents can be tough too."

We chatted for a while longer, discussing everything from our families to our classes. As the professor began the lecture, we settled in to take notes, our shoulders touching slightly.

I felt a sense of contentment wash over me, knowing that I had found a friend in Kabir. And as we sat there together, I couldn't help but wonder what the future held for us.

As the class ended, I packed up my things and headed out of the classroom with Sarah. We walked home together, chatting about our favorite TV shows and movies. The sun was shining brightly, and the air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers. It was a beautiful day, and I was grateful to have Sarah by my side.

As we stepped into the elevator, Sarah asked me about my day. "Hey, Aashvi, how was your day?"

"It was good," I replied. "Just got out of a long lecture. I'm pretty sure I'd have fallen asleep if the professor's voice wasn't so annoyingly loud. I'm starting to think he's secretly a sleep therapist."

Sarah giggled. "Girl, same here! I had to pinch myself to stay awake. I'm pretty sure I've got a permanent bruise now."

We reached our floor and stepped out of the elevator. As we walked towards our apartment doors, I asked Sarah, "Hey, Sarah, do you want to go grocery shopping with me?"
