3rd person pov:
By the time Uliana's meeting at the lair concluded, it was late. Hook was on the way back to his dorm when he spotted a window on one of the higher floors with a pinkish glow, seeing this, he decided to take up the opportunity to get closer to Bridget. He bent down and picked up a pebble off the ground, hesitating before he threw it gently at the closed window. After a brief moment, Bridget opened the window, her hair styled in a bun with two loose strands framing her face. The moonlight softly illuminated her features, enhancing her captivating appearance.Hook stood in the shadows, his eyes locked on Bridget as she framed the window with her elegant presence. Her hair, gathered in a sleek bun with delicate strands falling freely, caught the moonlight in a way that made her seem almost ethereal. The soft glow accentuated the graceful lines of her face and the serene confidence in her posture. Hook, usually so articulate and commanding, found himself speechless, overwhelmed by the sheer beauty and tranquility that emanated from her. In the stillness of the night, her beauty was a silent symphony, resonating deeply within him, leaving him spellbound and contemplative.
Hook caught himself staring and quickly snapped himself out of it, reminding him that this was just for revenge "Hello?" "Hook? What are you doing here?" He silently cursed himself for not coming up with an excuse as he quickly made one up "I just wanted to invite you out for a walk." Great job James. A walk how believable. "Yeah! Of course! I'll be down in a minute!" Bridget exclaimed closing her window while Hook stood there in slight shock. Of course, she's naive as well.
Bridget and Hook walked side by side on a path, Bridget still curious on where hewas taking her. "Where are we going?" "You'll see soon princess. So, why are you still awake?" "Oh! Well I couldn't sleep so I stayed up reading one of my new recipe books!" She replied enthusiastically "Ah...i see..."
They walked until they reached a bridge, it looked shaky yet it seemed sturdy "Are...are you sure this is safe?" Bridget muttered "Yes of course, why would I ever put you in danger princess? You go first, I'll be right behind you." Hook replied.
Bridget took a tentative step onto the bridge, her initial uncertainty giving way to surprise as she found it surprisingly stable. She cautiously began walking across, the wooden planks creaking gently beneath her feet. Just as she started to relax, her foot caught on an uneven board, sending her off balance. She flailed, her heart racing as she teetered on the edge of a fall. Before she could react, Hook's reflexes were swift and precise; his arm shot out with practiced ease, encircling her waist and pulling her back to safety.
Bridget felt a rush of warmth and a blush spread across her cheeks as she leaned into his steady grip. Hook’s touch was firm yet gentle, his presence grounding her in the moment. “Whoa, careful there, princess,” he said with a chuckle, his voice carrying a blend of amusement and concern. The laughter in his tone made her heart flutter, easing her embarrassment.
As they resumed their journey across the bridge, the tension in the air seemed to dissolve. Reaching the far side, Bridget’s gaze was immediately drawn to a breathtaking sight that made her gasp in amazement. Her eyes widened, captivated by the unexpected beauty that lay before her, momentarily overshadowing the earlier mishap.
