For all my readers who are searching for that storybook love.
I feel you.
I tried to make this gender-neutral! Just a few mentions of Y/n wearing a dress and mascara.

Love was a feat you no longer imagined you could achieve.
You were sick of the bare minimum and the impure intentions from anyone you happened to take an interest in, and in the end the only person you truly wanted didn't even see you the same way. As of tonight, it felt pointless.

The night went on a bit too long and while your friends hailed cabs from the still-lively club, you wouldn't budge from your seat on the curb.
With only a few shots, you were fairly sober and completely disappointed with how tonight turned out; you needed a moment to sulk and took the chance after you ensured the most intoxicated of your friends were getting home safe.
Shoko and Utahime were the last ones left, Shoko crouching next to you as a drunk Utahime gripped her arm.
"We're getting a cab back to our place," Shoko said in her sultry voice, "you're more than welcome to come, dear."
You glanced up at your friend with a knowing gaze and shook your head, "I'll be okay, you two get home safe." You spoke absentmindedly.

Shoko blew out a breath of exasperation as she opened her phone, a call ringing seconds later.
   "Yo, Suguru," she spoke.

The mention of Geto Suguru sent painful butterflies stirring in your heart. Your eyes cut to Shoko, now standing over you with a smug grin.

You were at a loss of words and by the time she hung up, the situation finally caught up to you.
"He'll be here in 5, turns out he's close by conveniently enough," she smiled.
You rolled your eyes at her insinuation.
Per usual, you could always count on your friends to feed your delusions, and so Shoko was always your biggest supporter when it came to the secret little crush you had on your mutual friend, Geto.

He was here in no time, the sounds of his motorcycle alerting you before any sight of him did. Instinctively, you fixed your hair and straightened the form fitting dress you wore.
Shoko laughed, Utahime dozing off on her shoulder.
You shot your friend a glare as a sleek motorcycle pulled up in front of you.

Resting his bike on its stand, Geto approached you, crouching down just as Shoko had as he flipped up the visor of his motorcycle helmet.
He observed you closely and the crinkles in the corners of his eyes revealed his hidden smile.
"Are you sober enough to not fall off my bike?" He asked with a hint of a laugh in his voice.
You rolled your eyes, "I'm not drunk I've only had a few..."
"Good." He picked a helmet off his bike and reached a hand out to help you up.

Brushing off your dress you didn't miss how his eyes seemed to linger on you before turning to Shoko who could hardly conceal her knowing smile. They exchanged quick goodbyes and you waved as Shoko and Utahime were off.

Your mind was still on your friends as they called a taxi when Geto began to unzip his jacket. You watched as he slid off leather and quickly threw it around your shoulders. You narrowed your eyes as you tried to catch his gaze, but he was focused solely on getting your arms into the sleeves and zipping up the jacket.
He took in the sight of you, drowned in his jacket so oversized on your figure it practically hid the length of your dress.
You didn't miss the soft smile in his eyes, "You'll be cold otherwise," he offered as if justifying.
Your mind was still slightly spinning and so you didn't stop to wonder whether he'd freeze in his form fitting black t-shirt, instead opting to admire it on his body.

You turned your attention to the helmet Geto handed you before slipping it on, "This is new," you commented.
Without asking, he fastened the clip and gently hooked his fingers under the chin of the helmet, turning your head to get a good look at it.
"Mhm," he hummed, "just got it for myself, but I think I like it better on you."
