||9:30 am, Sunday||
Finn's alarm goes off . His eyes twitch, yet not waking up fully but he turns his head to the other side trying to ignore away the alarm.
"Nnghhh,shut it you ugly noise." He groans in his groggy morning voice. He runs his fingers through his unkempt bed hair out of frustration .
He casts about his hands under the pillow to grab his phone before finally putting a stop to the unpleasantly deafening noise of his alarm ,getting up.
"Mmmmm noooo" he grumbles.
Not feeling like waking up yet, he throws covers over himself once again snuggling into a comfortable position hugging his pillows pretending to hold someone for the warmth he was neglected of .
He opens his eyes and heaves out a big sigh. His gaze lands upon a beautifully decorated framed picture on his side table. It was him and his now-ex-boyfriend Archie ,on a Ferris wheel ride on their one year anniversary.
He Snickers gleefully at the memory of him pulling an all nighter just to decorate the frame himself and feeling super satisfied with the way it turned out. Back then it felt worth it.
FLASHBACK
"Okay folks, we're about to set this Ferris wheel in motion. Everyone please sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride! Before we start, just a few safety reminders - keep your hands, feet, and belongings inside the gondola at all times, and hold on to the safety bar when the ride is in motion. Oh, and one more thing - feel free to scream as loudly as you want, but please don't scare the people in the gondola next to you. Have fun!" The Ferris wheel operator announces.
"Oh! it's about to start!!". Finn exclaims in joy .
He glanced at Archie who was sweating profusely with his fists clenched and eyes shut in horror. He was afraid of heights.
Finn cracks a smirk looking at his boyfriend all afraid and an evil idea crosses his mind. He snaps a picture secretly to blackmail him later.
It's a rare event seeing him trembling haha,must not miss it! Finn Thinks to himself.
"Finn summers! God knows I might throw up mid air and make it rain all those donuts and extra slices of your pizza you just made me have!"
"Hahaha ew " Finn cringes at the thought "don't worry I'll hold you tightly" he reassures.
"Here,Give me your hand" Finn says extending his arms to hold Archie.
"I swear if you let go!"
"Worry not, comrade!"
"You think it's funny!?"
"Haha, no..."
FLASHBACK ENDS
The recollections of the night prior floods his mind . A wave of rage hits him and He reaches out his hand to flip away the frame feeling somewhat bothered .
It really amazed him how he now felt so disappointed looking at the same picture he used to smile at before sleeping and after waking up first thing in the morning . It all felt like an ugly dream that somehow kept getting worse .
He wanted to get rid of this uneasy feeling. Finn initially just decided to sleep in for today and idle around but then he decided it would be better to clean up all the things Archie left behind in his apartment. Almost everything around him was connected to Archie some way or other,it all reminded Finn of him.
