Jungkook was already up and buzzing with excitement, her mind still reeling from last night’s conversation about her brother Namjoon’s potential feelings for Seokjin, Taehyung’s sister. She had been trying to drop subtle hints all morning, and today seemed like the perfect opportunity to make her suggestion more direct.
As the breakfast table was set, Jungkook’s brothers—Namjoon, Hoseok, and Jimin—gathered around the table, each lost in their own thoughts. Jungkook, on the other hand, was practically vibrating with anticipation.
“Good morning, everyone!” Jungkook chirped, her tone almost too cheerful.
Namjoon looked up from his newspaper, raising an eyebrow at her enthusiasm. “Morning, Jungkook. You seem unusually excited today.”
Jungkook took her seat and gave him a mischievous smile. “Oh, nothing much. Just had a little thought last night and wanted to run it by you.”
Hoseok poured himself some coffee and glanced at Jungkook. “What’s on your mind?”
“Well,” Jungkook began, stirring her cereal with exaggerated enthusiasm, “remember our conversation about Seokjin?”
Namjoon stiffened slightly, a hint of pink rising to his cheeks. “Yeah, I remember.”
Jimin, who was busy buttering his toast, looked up with interest. “What about Seokjin?”
Jungkook grinned, her eyes sparkling with mischief. “I was just thinking, if you really have feelings for her, maybe you should consider making a move. You know, like proposing.”
Namjoon nearly choked on his coffee. “Proposing? We’ve barely even seen each other recently. Isn’t that a bit hasty?”
Jungkook waved her hand dismissively. “Oh, come on. It’s not hasty. You clearly have strong feelings for her. If you’re serious about it, why not take a chance?”
Hoseok snorted, trying to hide his smile behind his coffee cup. “Jungkook, you’ve got to be kidding. Proposing over breakfast?”
Jimin leaned back in his chair, a thoughtful expression on his face. “But Jungkook has a point. If you’re feeling this strongly, maybe it’s worth pursuing.”
Namjoon looked both embarrassed and flustered. “I didn’t think it would be this much of a topic. We’ve only talked a few times.”
Jungkook leaned in, her eyes gleaming with determination. “Exactly! Sometimes you just know. If you’re sure about your feelings, why not go for it?”
Namjoon sighed, running a hand through his hair. “I guess… but it’s still a big step. I’m not even sure how she feels about me.”
Jimin’s eyes twinkled with a hint of amusement. “Well, there’s only one way to find out, right?”
Jungkook nodded enthusiastically. “Absolutely. And if you really care about her, then go for it. Imagine how happy she’d be if you took the initiative.”
Namjoon glanced around the table, clearly unsure but intrigued by the idea. “Alright, I’ll think about it. But I don’t even know how to approach her about this.”
Hoseok, who had been quietly observing, finally spoke up. “Why not start with something simple? Maybe invite her for coffee or a meal and see where things go.”
Jungkook clapped her hands together. “Yes! A casual, no-pressure meet-up. You can gauge her interest and see if she feels the same way.”
Namjoon nodded slowly, considering their suggestions. “That doesn’t sound too bad. I’ll see if I can arrange something.”
Jungkook beamed with satisfaction. “Great! I’m excited to see how this turns out.”
As they continued their breakfast, Jungkook couldn’t resist teasing Namjoon about his potential romantic future. “Just remember, Namjoon, if you do decide to propose, you better make it memorable. I want to hear all the details!”
Namjoon shook his head with a smile. “You really have a knack for making everything an event, don’t you?”
Jungkook grinned. “What can I say? I like to keep things interesting.”
Later that day, Jungkook and her brothers decided to head out for some fresh air. They visited a local park, where they walked and talked about their plans for the future. Jungkook continued to playfully nudge Namjoon about his feelings for Seokjin, while Hoseok and Jimin exchanged amused glances.
As they strolled through the park, Jimin spoke up, a thoughtful expression on his face. “You know, Jungkook, you might be onto something. Namjoon deserves to be happy, and if he’s got feelings for Seokjin, then maybe he should go for it.”
Hoseok nodded in agreement. “Yeah, it’s important to take chances in life. Sometimes the best things come from taking risks.”
Namjoon, feeling more at ease with the support of his siblings, looked more determined. “Thanks, guys. I appreciate the encouragement. I’ll make sure to do this right.”
Jungkook squeezed Namjoon’s arm. “That’s the spirit. And remember, if you need any help with planning or advice, I’m here for you.”
As the sun began to set, casting a warm glow over the park, Jungkook felt a sense of accomplishment. She had managed to turn an awkward conversation into an opportunity for her brother to explore his feelings and potentially find happiness.
Returning home, the family gathered for dinner, their spirits high and their conversations filled with laughter. Jungkook felt grateful for the support of her brothers and the bond they shared. She knew that whatever the future held, they would face it together as a family.
