a/n: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY SUNSHINE <333

i'm so so so proud of how far he's come TT from being a teenager who could barely speak korean, he's become a world-wide sensation. he's literally almost always the "hot blond guy" everyone googles after international performances/appearances.

i know i don't usually say that felix is my bias, but he's my sunshine. he is literally my whole world. he is someone i would actually die for (i am not kidding). felix was my first bias (ngl probably also my first love atp), and the man who got me into skz and probably saved my life.

(no, literally. i only heard of skz was during ordinary era, when felix was going viral for not whitewashing his freckles. after that, i followed felix a bit, and in maxident, i absolutely fell in love with felix in the chorus, and found myself down the deepest rabbit hole of my life— skz.)

lee felix, you are so so so so so so amazing. you're literally the sweetest person ever. i do not know what i'd do without you :( <3

"um, excuse me?" riley asked awkwardly, tapping the man before her

"um, excuse me?" riley asked awkwardly, tapping the man before her. when he turned to look at her, her heart almost tripped over itself (kinda like her feet as the train jolted to a stop). "hi, um, do you know how far the stop for gangam is from here?"

when his captivating dark eyes just started at her, she rushed to add, "oh, uh, nevermind. um, i'm not that good at korean." in korean, she repeated, "i'm not good at korean."

he continued to stare at her for a few minutes before he smiled, and she sighed in relief. "ah," he replied, his voice much deeper than she expected. "it's okay, i can speak english. sorry, most people here don't usually just... talk to strangers, so you caught me off guard."

his voice was so deep... and accented. she wracked her brain. perhaps he was australian? that did explain his english-speaking skills.

her light skin turned bright red. "i'm sorry."

the man chuckled lightly, running a hand through his messy blond hair. "no, no, it's fine. it's refreshing. if you're going to gangam, it's best to get off at the fifth stop, which is the next one."

she nodded, mentally writing down that information. "kre," she responded with a smile, mentally worrying on how she would get there without getting lost, "thank you so much."

he grinned at her, making her heart flutter. she noticed his cute freckles and the ones that curled into a crescent around his eyes when he smiled like that. he was really goddamn cute.

"don't worry about it," he told her sweetly. "i'm going there, too."

"oh, really?" she asked, interested that he was striking up a conversation. "how come?"

"i have to go to an event with a couple of friends in the famous bbq place," he explained.

"oh! i'm going there, too, actually."

he chuckled, his smile making the train twenty times brighter. "if you'd like, i can help you get there, then? we'll stay in public spaces, of course. i'm just offering to help because you seem like a foreigner." realizing that could've sounded rude, he rushed to say, "no offense."

she grinned. "none taken."

"i swear, i won't kidnap you or something," he added, not wanting such a pretty girl like her to think of him as a creep. "i just—"

"i think i'd say 'thanks' if someone as cute as you kidnapped me," she muttered under her breath.

whether it was for good or for bad, he heard her near-silent statement. "sorry?"

her eyes widened. "did i say that out loud?"

"...yeah."

her cheeks turned bright red and she averted her eyes from him. "uh, i didn't—"

"i'm felix lee," he interrupted her, a small grin growing on his face.

she responded with her own name, "riley byron." nervously, she looked back up at his face, somewhat surprised to see him smiling cutely at her.

he asked, "let's be friends?"

"sure," she replied, probably way too fast.

when he laughed quietly again, her heart fluttered again, too, and she couldn't help but wonder how lucky she must have been to have run into such a cute guy.

thank god i took the train today.
