Belaina

"Oh, isn't this nice, a family reunion minus one." Beau croaks, lifting his head to face his siblings head on. Honestly this is the first time in a while that the majority of the Accolti siblings have been in the same room. We're just missing Elijah who is still overseas on assignment. If he was here, I'm not sure what he would make of this whole situation, him being the one who openly bucked heads with Beau the most.

"Did you want to hold hands and sing songs around a campfire brother?" Elliot asks with contempt, not bothering to hide his disgust for the oldest Accolti.

"Campfire, Belaina's casket, I'm fine with either," Beau says back, tilting his head left to right as if weighing the options he just gave. I'm sure he would love nothing more than to roast his marshmallows over my burning corpse.

"For a guy tied up and hanging over his piss puddle, you sure are holding onto the delusion that you're making it out of here." Matteo says in a clipped tone, digging his fingers into my lower back and pulling me in closer to him. He's like a furnace in this air-conditioned room, I want nothing more than to soothe his anger, but I can't even control my own emotions. The anxiety and uncertainty take hold of me. What if I can't bring myself to end my brother's life? What if I somehow fail and he gets away again? Putting everyone in danger because of my shortcomings.

"It's the end of the line Beau. Seems all your actions have finally caught up to you." I say with a calm I don't necessarily feel. When his bloodshot eyes look back at me, he scoffs before spitting blood in my direction. Matteo steps forward with a growl, but I'm quick to halt his murderous intentions. "What did you expect big brother? You manipulate the Brazzo's, try to frame me, almost kill Elliot, shoot Matteo and we would be here to celebrate with you?"

"I had no intention of ever seeing your face again after the deal went through with that warehouse. All we needed was a signature and I would've walked away from Accolti HQ. If it came down to choosing between trying to take over here and starting an empire with- "an audible swallow joins the high tension between us before he continues, unable to say his little girlfriend's name. Clearing his throat he adds, "but you went and ruined my entire life by taking her away from me. So, I wanted to return the favor, little sister. You took my love it was only fair I took yours."

"Too bad you missed. That's embarrassing for you Beau, and unacceptable as an Accolti" Elliot chirps the company line, laying out the torture weapons onto the stainless-steel table. One in particular catches my eye immediately, now I just need a bit of fire.

Rounding to Beau's other side Levi slips something onto his hand before adding, "and you should know what happens when you miss a mark brother." Those words hang in the air, memories of my twin saying the same ones to me over a decade ago. Before Beau can even comeback with another retort, Levi's brass clad knuckles are being struck across his face. Seems my twin brother has been holding all that rage in, waiting for the right moment to unleash it. Both me and Eli are taken by surprise, sucking in identical breaths, but we keep our eyes fixed on our older brothers.

Levi has always been the silent but lethal type, every move he's ever made has been calculated and precise. His emotions never strayed him from an assignment, he was always able to detach his own feelings, making him the perfect killer, perfect soldier. Unlike me, Levi was never the one to get anything wrong, his assessments far and few from what I remember. Which is why he always held on to so much guilt when I was given an unfair amount of consequence, he knew my heart would never allow innocents to hurt in front of me. Regardless of if it would put me in harm's way at the hands of Beau or my father in doing so.

Seeing him so undeniably unhinged now, practically foaming at the mouth renders me speechless, the new light and respect for my twin flushes over me. He goes on hitting Beau left and right, making sure to uppercut his chin for good measure. Only when one of Beau's teeth falls to the floor does he stop and catch his breath.
