Nothing was wrong with my childhood, I had my father home with my mother and I and as I grew older my father groomed me into becoming His future successor as he was a CEO of his own company. But one thing that could potentially ruin the peaceful haven I knew as home was a grotesque secret of eight children my father had that he spent no time with.One night I learned more about my father than I could've in a decade. I was ten and he and my mother was arguing.
"Darnell you have to tell your daughter who you really are"
"Lola knows exactly who I am Shiela"
"Is that so, why doesn't she know about all the other kids and your wife"
All my ten years of life by that time I thought that my father was married to my mother and I was the only child but obviously I was mistaken
"She doesn't need to know about them"
"Why not?"
"Because they don't matter to our lives"
"But Darnell what kind of example are you displaying by keeping secrets from her"
The argument ended there however the hectic double life of my father would forever remain a problem in my life. When I was about thirteen years old my mother walked out on my father seeing that he refused to be honest about his other families but when she walked out on him she walked out on me as well
