Saying Goodbye

Time went by, you telling Lucifer you had ate the apple and gained your powers from it. You gained the power to open portals and the power to read minds, it wasn't much but you thought it was pretty cool and Lucifer was pretty impressed with your powers.

The month went by with you and Lucifer hanging out more often and practicing with your new powers, and it was finally time for your meeting with Heaven, to find out if they're able to get you back home on Earth. You were nervous, what if you couldn't go back? It would take more time? You thought before your mind wandered to everyone in the hotel. You were gonna miss them.. they treated you like one of them, it would be hard to say goodbye.

You quickly shook your thoughts away and got ready for the day, you wanted to look your best since well.. you were going to Heaven, you wanted to make a good impression with the Angels. You wore a simple white dress with some leggings underneath and some white slip on shoes with your hair half up, half down and with a white bow.

You walk down the stairs to the hotel lobby, seeing everyone standing there with smiles on their faces, Sir Pentious holding up a sign saying "goodbye" with tears in his eyes, sniffing out.

"You were a wonderful experienceeee! I wish you the bestttt of luck up there!"

He says as he turns away to wipe his tears while he sniffed out, Angel Dust and Husk walking up to you with friendly looks on their faces.

"It was nice having ya around here, makes it less boring even if it was for a short time."

Angel says with a smile, his hands on his hips while Husk stood next to him with a beer bottle in his hand, handing it over to you with a small smile.

"Take this, you'll need it."

He says as you look down at the beer bottle, smiling softly and taking it in your hands, giving him a nod.

"Thanks Husk, thanks Angel."

You say before Nifty and Alastor walked over to you quickly, Nifty looking up at you with a bit of a sad face.

"Will I ever see you again? I loved killing bugs with you!"

She says which makes you giggle out a bit, kneeling down to her height and gently putting a hand on her head, petting her head.

"One day I might see you again Nifty, and we'll be killing bugs all over the hotel."

You say sweetly which causes Nifty to smile and jump into your arms, giving you a warm hug. You were surprised a bit but wrapped your arms around her, returning her hug with a smile.

You pull back from the hug and stand on your feet, glancing over at Alastor as you smile, rubbing your arm a bit.

"It was nice hanging with you, Alastor. And tell Rosie I say it was nice meeting her as well."

You say gently while Alastor nods his head at you, his bright grin on his face as he hummed with delight.

"Of course my dear, maybe we'll see each other soon."

He says casually while you nod your head at him then walk over towards Charlie and Vaggie, Charlie's eyes watering up as she sniffed, wrapping her arms tightly around you and hugging you tightly.

"It was so nice having you at the hotel! I'll miss you so much!"

She says as she cries a bit, hugging you tightly while you hug her back, smiling warmly at her while rubbing her back gently. Vaggie smiled as she watched the scene, her arms crossed over her chest.

"The hotel won't be the same without you, but we won't forget you."

She says with a smile, feeling a bit emotional about you leaving. Charlie pulls back from the hug and smiles at you, wiping her tears away before stepping to the side, revealing Lucifer standing by the portal to Heaven, a small smile on his face while you walked over towards him.

"I have something for you."

He says gently, reaching behind his back to grab a rubber duck that looked exactly like you, your eyes widening a bit and softening up, gently taking the duck from him.

"You.. you made this for me?"

You question softly, your thumb caressing over the rubber duck, your eyes tearing up a bit. Lucifer just smiles and watches your reaction, nodding his head a bit.

"So you'll have something to remember me by."

He says with a bit of sadness, trying his hardest to hide it. Despite it only being a month of you down here, you and him grew pretty close. He hadn't talked to anyone besides his daughter in seven years.. you were the first person he'd talked to, you were the reason he was able to talk to his daughter again.. he would miss you.

You stare at the duck for a moment before slowly looking back up at him, small tears rolling down your cheeks before jumping into his arms, wrapping your arms around his neck as you smiled, holding him tightly.

"I'll never forget you."

You say softly, leaning your chin against his shoulder. Lucifer's eyes widened a bit as you hugged him, freezing in place for a moment before gently wrapping his arms around your lower back, hugging him tightly.

"Goodbye, Y/N."

He whispered with a small tear before gently pulling back from the hug, lifting his hand up to your cheek to wipe your tears away, smiling gently at you. You look up at him in awe, your eyes dilating slightly.

You had a weird feeling in your chest, like you didn't wanna go but you knew you had too, you couldn't stay down here in Hell, it was too dangerous but yet— you didn't wanna leave anyone behind, especially Lucifer. He had done so much for you, and now you were leaving and probably would never see him again, it pained you inside.

You gently move your hand up to put on top of his that was on your cheek, a soft and gentle smile on your face before you slowly move his hand and off your cheek, holding his hand gently and taking a step back, slowly letting go of his hand.

Lucifer reached for your hand before he put it down on his cane as he smiled sadly at you, nodding his head for you to go to the portal while Charlie came to his side, wrapping her arm around his shoulder for comfort.

You stood in front of the portal, looking inside before looking back at everyone standing there with sad smiles on their faces, some even crying that you were leaving. You smile gently at everyone as you wave your hand at them before turning back to the portal. Taking a deep breath, you step into the portal to Heaven, the portal closing behind you.

Lucifer watched as you walked through the portal and it closed behind you, biting down on his bottom lip as he clutched his fist against his cane, lowering his hat as he looked down at the ground.

"Dad.. it's gonna be okay.. it's for the best."

Charlie says softly and gently, rubbing his arms in a comforting way while Lucifer just nodded his head, taking a deep breath as he looked up at his daughter, a saddened smile on his face.

"I know, sweetheart."

He says gently with a soft sigh, gently moving his hand off his shoulder as he opened a portal back to his mansion, stepping inside it as it closed behind him. Charlie watched as he vanished into the portal back to his mansion, a soft sigh leaving her lips.

"He'll be okay, just needs some space is all."

She says then looking to Vaggie with a soft smile, wrapping an arm around her lower back and walking up the stairs of the hotel back to their shared bedroom while you.. stared at the gates of Heaven, your eyes widening in awe and your lips parting slightly.

"This.. is Heaven.."
