Fears and phobias (a poem book)

Acousticophobia

Acousticophobia: Fear of noise or sound. A victim may have this phobia due to past events or experiences.

I refuse to see,

The world surrounding me.

But I use noise and sound,

To understand what's around.

My ears are as sensitive as that of an ant,

The sounds are what I really can't stand.

I feel panic, terror and dread,

When the noises force inside my head.

I lock myself in my room,

Shut myself away from doom.

It isn't really my choice,

That I'm afraid of my own voice.
