Elijah walked over to the woman washing the car, pausing a few feet away from her.

"You work for the Lockwoods?"

She snorted. "Everyone who makes a paycheck works for them."

"But you are personally hired by them?"

"Yes." She turned, dropping the sponge in the bucket of water. "Why?"

"What can you tell me about Tyler?"

"I don't interact with him much. Not sure I can help you."

"Just some basic information would be fine, schedules, friends he sees often, the like."

"Hey, can I speak to you after you're finished?" Mason walked out of the house, eyes narrowing at the sight of the older man.

"Sure thing. Let me put this away."

They watched as she emptied the bucket and disappeared into the garage. Mason turned to Elijah.

"Don't even think about going near her."

Elijah smiled. "She is in no danger."

They turned as she exited the garage, both smiling in her direction.

"Whatcha need, Mason?" She wiped her hand off on her jeans, squinting against the sun as she looked at them.

"Just need to discuss some stuff about tonight with you."

She nodded. "Alright." She nodded to Elijah. "Sorry, I couldn't help you more."

"One question for you." Elijah motioned to her arm. "What is the significance of your tattoo?"

"Family history." Her eyes hardened. "If that's all-"

Mason placed a hand on her shoulder and they walked into the house.

Later, Elijah sat at the Mystic Grill, looking over the crowd.

"A refill for you?" Matt appeared, looking bored out his mind.

"Yes please." Elijah tossed a twenty on the counter, covering his next few drinks.

"Matt, my usual please." The woman from the Lockwoods staff sat next to him.

They waited in silence for their drinks, both watching Matt.

After they had received their drinks, they each took a sip before she turned to Elijah.

"If you want to talk to me, don't attempt it in front my my employers house next time."

"My apologies."

She set a stone on the counter. "I assume you know what this is."

"An oath stone. So you are a witch?"

"Of sorts. Are you prepared for my terms?"

"I like to know the name of who I am swearing an oath with."

She rolled her eyes. "Dantia."

"Elijah. Now go ahead with your terms."

"Anything I tell you may not be shared with anyone. You are not to go after Mason or Tyler Lockwood. You may not tell anyone about my existence."

"Those are fairly simple. Do you wish to have any monetary reimbursement?"

"None. I want nothing to tie me to your family."

"Understood."

"Do you have any terms of your own?"

"Tell me the truth. That is the only thing I ask."
