Chapter XXV

"Are you not going to go with Seojun?"

"Yah, yesterday you called me complaining that I don't spend time with you and now you don't want me here." Aera complained to Soojin, gripping her arm tightly to pull her closer. Next to the other black-haired girl was the brown-haired Jukyeong; both girls seemed quite comfortable with each other, so Aera thought they must have already talked about Suho, deciding to just let that topic slip from her mind, one that shouldn't even be there.

"I also thought you would go with Seojun, Aera-yah, you're always with him." SooAh spoke, pouting adorably while the black-haired girl pinched her cheek, causing her to whine in pain.

"Hello! I'm Park Saemi from Yongpo High School, you know me, right?"

Aera looked at the three girls who appeared in front of them, scanning them. She felt like she recognized them from somewhere, although she really didn't know where. "No, I'm not sure." Jukyeong's trembling voice made her look at her; her body was shaking slightly just like her voice, and her gaze was directed at the ground or anywhere but the eyes of the three girls standing in front of her.

"You got first place in the Instagram contest; you beat me." The brown-haired girl said, with a rather annoyed tone but a smile on her face, which made Aera smile back. "Though I have to admit the photo looked better, but you also look better than the Lim Jukyeong I know."

"And where is this conversation going?" Aera suddenly interrupted, looking at the girls, who directed their gaze to her, one of the three widening her eyes in surprise upon recognizing that face. "We have important things to do, and you are delaying us."

"Oh, don't worry, we're just here because we want to know if Han Seojun has left school yet." This made Aera frown, looking the girl up and down, while SooAh raised her eyebrows, looking at her friend.

"We don't know; we have to go." Jukyeong said, taking Aera's hand, who continued to stare at the girl with a furrowed brow.

Why was she looking for Seojun?

When Aera was about to follow the brown-haired girl alongside Soojin, the happy shouts of the three girls calling out a name unknown to her caught her attention. Turning around, she saw them running towards a girl, their voices malicious as they dragged her along until they disappeared from view.

Looking at Jukyeong and Soojin, the girl questioned with her gaze, hoping one of them would say to follow, because the girls didn't give her a good feeling.

"No... I've been watching her and... Han Seojun doesn't have a relationship with Jukyeong... He has a girlfriend; it's another girl."

"And wasn't that what I asked you to inform me about? Huh? Why don't you give me the answers I want?"

Aera's hand stopped one of the girls who was about to hit Hyemin, pulling her back a bit before pushing her, standing in front of her and looking at her curiously. "Were you going to hit her?"

"Oh, how could you believe that? We were just talking." One of the girls said, taking Hyemin by the wrist to bring her closer. "Why?"

"Curiosity, you know, the second place of a girls' contest, who are considered angels, shouldn't behave that way." Aera replied, emphasizing the position the girl had finished with a smile, looking at Hyemin with a grin. "Hyemin-ah, we had a job to do together, remember?"

"Oh, yes." She said with a trembling voice after a second, looking at the girl in front of her.

"She said she would go with us today."

"It's a shame, she already had plans, and as you may have noticed," the girl took Hyemin's hand, pulling her towards herself, proudly looking at the other girls. "I never get canceled on."
