In honor of Troye's birthday (and Connor's travel to Perth).

"Hey, Connie." Troye whispers once Connor accepts his Skype call request.

"Hey, Tro." Connor says while smiling like usual.

"I miss you, you know." Troye confesses.

"Me too. But at least you're back in LA in a few weeks, right?" Connor smiles wryly.

"Yeah. It feels like the day won't arrive in a really long time, though." Troye groans.

"Long distance sucks."

"Let's bring Pangea back! I hate continents." Troye chuckles.

"You reblogged that on Tumblr when I was away." Connor laughs.

"So? Never said it was mine."

They laugh for a while with each other.

After a moment of awkward silence between them, Connor sighs and says,"Listen, Tro, I have to hang up."

"Why? What happened?" Troye asks. It's out of habit for Connor to hang up so quickly on Skype.

"Um, nothing. It's just...nothing, really. But I really have to hang up." Connor looks away.

"Seriously? We've only talked for, like, a minute." Troye rolls his eyes dramatically.

"I'll explain to you later, okay?"

"Okay."

"Bye, Troye boy!" Connor waves at the screen.

"Bye, Connie." Troye replies softly.

Connor smiles and hangs up on Troye. He turns off his laptop and begins to pack his belongings. After making sure he's packed everything he needs, he picks up his luggage and calls for an Uber to take him to the airport.

14 hours later

Connor arrives at Sydney. Jet-lagged and exhausted, the only thing that keeps him going is imagining the look on Troye's face when they see each other again.

As he has time to spare between flights, he decides to post a snap of his book being sold in the airport. He also decides to upload a picture he took in New York to confuse the fans—keeping his trip to be as low-key as possible. As of now, the only one who knows that he's going away for a while is his manager.

Troye has sent him countless messages about what's happening to him and why Connor hasn't replied yet. After contemplating for a while, Connor decides to only reply with "You'll see" and turns off his phone again as his flight to Perth begins to board.

6 hours later

Troye is busy taking notes of the latest versions of his songs he recorded back in LA. Suddenly, his laptop displays a low battery sign so he gets up from his bed and connects his laptop with its charging cable. Deciding to take a short break, he picks up his phone. He has texted his boyfriend back but so far, he's received no more replies from him. Maybe he's sick, he thinks. But if he's sick, why wouldn't he tell me? Is he busy? Is he avoiding me?

"Troye, dear, there's a guest!" Laurelle calls out.

"Coming, mom!" Troye calls back.

Carefully placing his laptop on the other side of his bed, he walks downstairs while adjusting his shirt to make it seem like he hasn't been spending all day on his bed.

"Surprise, Troye boy."

It... It can't be, Troye thinks. He looks up, meeting the green eyes of a certain American.

"Connor." He gasps with his eyes widened. What is he doing here? He's supposed to be in LA.

Troye rushes towards his boyfriend and hugs him tightly, not wanting to let go ever again.

"I can't believe it! It really is you. I thought you were avoiding me." Troye looks at his boyfriend in the eyes again.

"Avoiding you? If I were avoiding you, I wouldn't be doing such a great job, would I?" Connor smirks playfully at Troye.

"Oh, shut up." Troye grins widely, feeling like the luckiest boy in the world.

"Whatever you say, Troye boy." Connor says and then placing a soft kiss on Troye's lips.
