Chapter 11

Madeline found herself being dragged into another one of sookies bad decisions. Jessica wanted to see her family again after seeing them on the news wishing for her safe return.

" So, what's the plan." Madeline asked as they drove down a street.

" We are only staying in the car, right Jessica." Sookie said turning to Jessica.

" Yes, here, this is it. Across the street. My daddy won't be home yet, but my mama and sister should be there."

" I'm sorry." Sookie blurted as we parked across from Jessica's family house. Madeline could feel the guilt souring through Sookie.

" Well, why are you crying." She asked

" Because I did this to you. If bill hadn't... I took your life away, and I know there's no way you'll ever be able to forgive me. It's not even right to ask. But i had no idea it was gonna lead to this."

" I don't blame you Sookie, i didn't feel anything because Madeline made sure it wouldn't hurt." She smiled softly.

" How's that even possible."

" There's my sister." Jessica said bolting out the car.

" Fuck." Madeline muttered as she hurried out the car and chased after Jessica and Sookie.

" Mom?" Jessica said softly

" Where were you?" Jessica's sister asked

Jessica mom pulled Jessica in for a hug." It doesn't matter. just call your father. And... and tell him that Jessica's home."

" Momma, I'd like you to meet my... my friend's. This is Sookie and Madeline." she said introducing the sisters to her mom.

Madeline smiled politely at the Jessica's mom and looked back at sookie,

This is a bad idea, like really bad

Stay calm

" Thank you so much for bringing her back." She cried out

" Youre welcome." The sisters said in unison.

" Arent you gonna invite us in?" Jessica said

" What?! no, no. We cant stay."

" We would have loved to stay but its getting late." Madeline tried to intercept.

" Honey, your arms are like ice. Come on in and I'll make you some tea. Come on." Jessica's mom said leading the three in.

Eric looked at the necklace on display, he didn't know if Madeline would like it or not but he wanted to get her something. He felt like he should take her on dates and give her gifts to keep the romance going. He noticed bill taking to a cashier and decided it was perfect time to talk to him about the news.

" Good evening, old sport." He said making himself known.

" Eric?" Bill asked suprised to see his new hair.

" It's the new me. You like?"

" I do. Very much."

" We need to talk." He said as they walked away from the chastise who thought bill was gay.

" the sherif of area 9 in Texas has gone missing. Have you heard about that?" He asked

" I hadn't, but I know the vampire of whom we speak. His name is Godrick, correct?"

" Indeed. Now it goes without saying he needs to be found. Which is where Sookie comes in. As she's your, but in asking your permission to take her with me to Dallas."
