I'll Be Here When You get home... (A Plance Story)

~ Chapter One ~

{ Pidge P.O.V }

' Paladins! Dispand! ' Shiro yells into the Comms.

' But we are stronger as Voltron! We can finish this now! ' Keith yells.

' No! Dispand, the tractor beam is coming too close! Go! ' Desperation was thick in Shiro's voice.

The lions split apart and flew in different directions.

' Paladins! The cruisers seem to be entering hyper speed! ' Alurra said, clearly relieved. And to be honest, so was I. That was way too close.

A blinding light turned on and I covered my eyes, wincing.

' Help! ' Someone screamed, but the interference made it hard to tell who was calling for aid. I still couldn't see. I needed to get to them.

The light was gone and so were the cruisers. I looked around at the other Lions.
Green, yellow, red...black...

' Lance! Where are you!? ' I screeched.
No one spoke.

' Come back to the Castle... ' Alluras voice was barely heard.

I was frozen.

Everyone else started to move but my knuckles grew white holding the controls steady. I blinked and I was out of my daze. I spun around slowly and flew back to the castle. I docked Green and stumbled out of the lion's jaws. As soon as I stepped on the floor of the castle I broke down on my knees, crying uncontrollably.

Sobbing quietly, I felt Green curl up and let me lean against her nose. I felt the deep rumble of her purring as I hugged my helmet to my chest.

I heard footsteps and quickly rubbed my eyes and stood up.

Keith was looking at the floor as he walked up to me. He stopped a couple in front of me and I heard him sniff. When he finally looks up at me, his eyes are filled with tears.

I doubled back.

Keith Kogane was crying.

I shake off my surprise and listen to him speak.

' The ship is completely off the radar. ' He says but his voice is barely a whisper. ' He's gone '

I stand up and walk up to him. I take his hand and we slowly walk through the halls of the castle of the others. I hold his hand tightly, using it as stability from crying again.

The large doors open and its chaos.

Shiro is yelling at Hunk and Coran for trackers and transmitters. Allura is standing under the crystal concentrating, no, trying to concentrate while shouting for everyone to shut their quiznacks.

I clear my throat and everything goes silent. Allura finally opens her eyes and I think I can see hope dazzling in them.

' He's a couple of Galaxies away. ' Her eyes find Coran's. ' Prepare for a wormhole jump. '

' Yes Princess. ' He turns back to his dashboard and Allura closes her eyes once more.

I sat in my Lion, waiting for the Castle to exit the wormhole. So did the others, the Comms were silent.

' Three... two... one...' Coran said slowly and the Castle fell still.

' Ready? ' Shiro said.

Everyone shared a silent nod of agreement.

' Wait- ' Allura yelled but Shiro cut her off.

' Go! '

We all took off and flew to the front of the Castle. Activating my Jaw blade I got ready but then I froze.

' NO! ' I shrieked.

The Galra battle cruiser is smashed and destroyed. Barely anything remained, I couldn't even see the blue lion.

I could see ships entering hyperspace in the distance. Just before they disappeared I caught a glimpse they're looks.

Those were rebel ships.

Coalition members killed Lance.

I let that sick in and my mind went quiet.

Lance is dead...

My breathing sped up and I felt my self fall from the seat and everything went dark.
