(Uh school time so I can go into depth of what happened and why Kevin literally went to go get the milk)

I was walking through the hallways holding my books to my chest as I looked around, people crowding the halls so it was hard to get through. I managed to get to class and slumped down in my chair, sighing. The class was fairly quiet expect for the few kids chatting or the teacher talking about something I didn't care to listen to. I sat there bored for a few moments before I felt a tap o my shoulder which brought me out of my day dreaming and I looked over to my right, seeing a boy. I think he told me his name was Kevin? It was a while back and we haven't talked since, we bumped in the hallway and exchanged names before walking away, it was a bit awkward but whatever. He gave me a small wave with a smile and I couldn't help but wave back. He seemed like a nice kid, sweet, cool, and stood up to jerks. It was admirable, I think that's why it made him to special in my eyes. We were interrupted by our small moment when the teacher handed us textbooks and told us to flip to page 107. I sighed and opened the book, flipping to the page like the rest of the class and the teacher began reading. As I was following along I noticed Kevin move his hair closer in which I shrugged it off, he was probably moving away from the other kids. I flipped to the next page as I kept feeling him get closer. He eventually stopped when there was about a foot distance between us. I then looked up to him and he was facing the teacher like nothing happened. I shrugged it off again and turned back to my textbook but I was frozen in place when I felt a hand on my thigh, my face going a deep red. I could hear his small laughs from my reaction and I hid my face behind my textbook, wanting to hide myself away and never come out. He pulled his hand away after a few minted so he could write something in his notebook. I let out a sigh of relief and turned to look to him, my face still red from what he did, he could be a jerk or tease when he wanted to be and it was frustrating at times. Once the bell rang to dismiss class I got up and walked out, Kevin following after me. I eventually spoke up.
"Are you here to just bother me and mess with me or are you gonna say or do something worthwhile." Kevin just laughed at me.
"Well, I wanted to see if you could hang out hang out behind the school after lunch?"
I blinked, normally I would sit alone at lunch and away from everyone but I agreed with a nod. After a few seconds I saw him smile then walk off.
I rolled my eyes and adjusted my glasses before heading off to my next class before lunch. Time felt slow as I listened to the teach go on about something I could hear or didn't want to hear in which I looked over to the clock, praying it would magically tick to 12 but it didn't, about almost 30 minutes were left of class and if it didn't finish soon I was positive I'd fall asleep.
I was suddenly awakened from my nape when the bell rang. I looked at the kids walking out of class before I quickly got up and headed out, walking to my locker and grabbing my lunch before heading to the back of the school and sat down, waiting for Kevin. Once he saw him he waved and the two sat next to each other as they ate lunch, talking about whatever came to mind, like grades or their hobbies. I took a bite of my sandwich as I chewed. I didn't notice Kevin was looking at me until I felt his thumb brush the corner of my mouth to wipe off the crumbs. I blinked then looked to him with a blush. He also had a blush on his face but probably less noticeable than mine as he smiled. I swallowed the piece in my mouth before looking down to the side with a smile. I could help it, he was so nice and it was hard to not crush on him. The bell soon rang, signaling it was the end of lunch, Kevin then spoke which turned my attention to him.
"You wanna come over to mine to play video games tonight?"
I looked at him as I thought for a moment before nodding. "Sure, my parents are out of town for the weekend so I don't mind." That was a lie, they were barely home most of the time and when they were they treated me like trash, I didn't like to talk about it so I made up excuses.
Kevin nodded then pulled out his phone to text someone, probably his mom or dad. I looked around for a moment before he spoke up. "My parents said it's cool if you stay the night, come around 4:00?"
I nodded with a smile and went to walk away to head back to class when the bells rang before hearing him call out my name
"Streber wait!" Kevin shouted before walking up to him and handed his phone to me. "Can I get your number?"
I blinked and stared at the phone for a moment before nodding and typed my phone number in it and then turned to walk off as we waved our hands.

The last class finally ended and I rushed out of school to get home, packing everything I needed into a bag as I smiled, I've known Kevin for a month or two by now but I've never had him invite me over before, we were mainly small talk and gave simple smiled and waves in the hallway so I was hyped for the night. Once it was around 3:40 I headed out the door and raced down the sidewalk to get to his quickly. Once I arrived I rang the doorbell, quickly looking at my phone camera to make sure I looked good and I noticed my sleepy eye. I hated it, it was always lowered and it made me look dumb in my own opinion. Every-time I tried to lift it, it would just fall back into position, I've had the problem since birth though. Once the door opened I quickly put my phone in my bag and looked at Kevin with a smile before he let me in.
"Sorry I came early, I got too excited..." I admitted in a slightly shy tone as Kevin shut the door and led me over to his bedroom.
Kevin then spoke up with a small laugh. "It's fine, don't sweat it. You're lucky cause I just booted up Zelda."
My eyes winded before I shook him when we got to his room. "You have to let me play! I'm such a big fan of the game but my parents never let me play it... let alone buy me any gaming stuff."
Kevin blinked and stared at me before smiling as he sat down in the floor and grabbed the controller, handing it to me. I sat down next to him and started to play the game. The GameCube he had looked fairly brand new and if I'm gonna be honest, I was jealous. I didn't realize how long I was playing and switching turns with Kevin until I heard his mom tell us pizza was here and we both rushed out of the room. Once we sat down at the table he basically inhaled the pizza until we were full and filled up on soda. We talked a bit before heading back to his home and shut the door, sitting down in the bed as the moonlight shun into the dark room. We joked around a bit and just had genuine conversations, playing games a it longer before taking separate showers and then laid down, Kevin on his bed and I was in my sleeping bag in the floor staring at the ceiling. I sighed as I looked over to the side out the window. The starts were pretty and the moon was full, I smiled softly, enjoying the moment.
