Alright, time to take things up a notch.

I crouched low in the bushes, peering through the smudged window of the Ares cabin. Inside, Clarisse and another warrior were busy arguing, their backs turned to me. It was almost funny watching them bicker, completely unaware of the chaos waiting outside.

No need to rush this,...

Wait for the right moment.

Patience had never been my strong suit, but I wasn't stupid. Charging in headfirst against two Ares kids was a death wish, especially with their tempers running high. No, I had to play this smart.

The argument inside grew louder, and I could see Clarisse gesturing animatedly, her sword resting casually at her side. Perfect. I needed her to be distracted.

Time to go fishing.

As if on cue, the other warrior stepped closer to the window, peering outside. I didn't hesitate. With a swift motion, I hurled my trident through the glass. The window shattered, the sound echoing through the night like a gunshot, and my weapon found its target—right in the chest of the unsuspecting warrior.

They crumpled to the floor without a sound, and the commotion inside immediately stopped. Clarisse whirled around, her eyes wide with shock.

Now or never!

I burst through the door, adrenaline coursing through my veins as I readied myself for the fight ahead. I grabbed my trident, ripping it free from the fallen warrior's body, and locked eyes with Clarisse.

Me: "Miss me?"

Her expression shifted from shock to fury in an instant. She charged at me, sword drawn, eyes blazing with rage. I was ready for her.

Let's dance.

We clashed, our weapons meeting with a resounding clang that reverberated through the cabin. The force of her strike knocked me back, but I regained my footing quickly. Clarisse was strong—no doubt about it—but I had speed on my side.

As she swung again, I ducked under her blade, bringing my trident up to block her next strike. The sound of metal on metal rang out, and I could feel the tension in the air, the anticipation crackling like electricity.

Me: "You should've stayed in your cabin, Clarisse!"

Her response was a primal growl as she pressed the attack, her movements wild and relentless. She was fueled by anger, and I could see it in her eyes. I sidestepped another blow, narrowly avoiding the edge of her sword. She was quick, but I was quicker.

With a swift motion, I countered, swinging my trident around to jab at her midsection. She deflected it, but the force sent her stumbling back. I saw my opening.

NOW!!!

I lunged forward, driving the blunt end of my trident into her stomach. The impact made her gasp, but she wasn't finished yet. She pushed herself off the ground, bringing her sword down with all her strength.

I barely managed to dodge, the blade grazing my arm as I ducked to the side. Pain shot through me, but I ignored it, focusing on the fight. I had to end this before she regained her footing.

Clarisse swung again, and I caught her blade with my trident, twisting it to throw her off balance. She stumbled, and I took advantage of the moment, striking her in the side with a powerful blow.

She grunted, but determination burned in her eyes. She wasn't going down without a fight.

Me: "You really think you can take me down, Clarisse?"

She snarled, her face contorting in rage as she charged at me once more. This time, I wasn't about to let her catch me off guard. I dodged her strike and spun around, slamming the trident into her shoulder.

Clarisse winced but retaliated with a fierce uppercut that connected with my jaw, sending me reeling. Stars flashed in my vision, but I shook my head and steadied myself.

Gotta keep fighting!

We circled each other, both of us breathing heavily, each looking for the slightest opening. I could see the determination in her eyes, the grit that made her one of the toughest fighters at camp. But I had one advantage she didn't—my agility.

With a sudden burst of speed, I dashed forward, feinting left before swerving to the right. Clarisse tried to swing at me, but I ducked just in time. I spun around, aiming for her legs with the blunt end of my trident.

The hit connected, and she fell hard, losing her sword in the process. I wasted no time. I lunged forward, pinning her down with the shaft of my trident pressing against her throat.

Me: "It's over, Clarisse."

Her eyes flared with defiance, but I could see the fight leaving her. She let out a frustrated growl, her fists clenched at her sides.

Me: "You're a tough opponent, I'll give you that. But you're not invincible."

I kept my weapon steady, watching as the realization dawned on her. She wouldn't be able to fight her way out of this. With a deep breath, I stepped back, giving her a moment to collect herself.

Clarisse sat up, glaring at me but accepting her defeat.

Me: "Next time, maybe don't underestimate your opponents."

With that, I turned and exited the cabin, leaving the remnants of the battle behind me
