Don't fall!

I jumped over and smiled when I made it over the last hurdle.

I was neck and neck with another girl but I tried not to become desperate.

Pace yourself.

"GO YN!"

I smiled at the thrill of it all.

Okay, almost there!

I turned my run into a sprint and YES!

First fucking place!

I slid to a stop and panted.

I got a few medals in the end.

A few gold, silver and bronze.

I beamed as my friends all ran up to me.

"YN, you were amazing!" Zoe hugged me and I laughed before hugging back.

"That was so cool!" Mira joined in.

"You did good." Little Crystal gave me thumbs up.

Daniel waiting for his turn to hug me and Jay smiled while Zack pat me on the back before saying I was sweaty.

I looked around.

Still no Gun.

Sad.

"You've always been good at running, haven't you, pig?"

I blinked and turned to see my middle school bullies.

Great....

Ugh.

I turned away.

"What, you think just because you lost like, two pounds you can just ignore us now? You're still fat." Mary laughed.

"I'm surprised the pole didn't break!" Jack snorted.

"Hey, who are you? Stop being mean!" Zoe put her hands on her hips.

"Zoe, it's okay." I smiled.

"Ugh, you know your smile is hideous! Look at it! Have you looked in the mirror at all!?"

I closed my lips.

I use to think my smile was okay.

I mean, my teeth are straight and white but...

"Guys, let's go." I turned and walked away.

"Hey! Where do you think you're going!?" Rose snapped.

"What? Are you guys really gonna beat me up in front of everyone and ruin your image? Over someone like me? I'm honored you consider it." I glanced over my shoulder at them before leaving.

"Are those your bullies?" Daniel asked.

"Yup. I forgot their school was also coming. But oh well." I shrugged.

"Let me at em!" Zoe cracked her knuckles and I laughed.

"It's okay, love." I looped my arm with hers.

GREAT!

I sprinted a bit faster as I heard their laughs coming closer.

"LOOK AT THE PIG RUN!"

"Oink oink!"

I'm very good at dodging.

Not so much at fighting.

"UGH!"

I hit the ground and held my pounding head.

There was a rock neck to me with blood on it.

GREATTTT!
