There was a happy atmosphere. The stars were visible in the sky. There was still time for the last quarter of the night to end. Ravana was meditating in Padmasana, wearing white dhoti. There were Rudraksha beads on his arms, neck and wrists. There were three lines of sandalwood on his forehead and arms. Slowly his body rose four hands above the ground. This is Ravana's meditation room which was situated in the south-east corner towards concentric circles garden. There was a total of 10 windows in this room. The entrance to the gallery was on the east side, with three windows on either side and 4 windows on the south side. The windows on the east side are much larger than those on the south. The windows were so low and wide that one could sit comfortably with one's legs extended on them. All these were made of light pink stone. The fine stone lattices above the windows and the curved circular pillars were worth seeing. They were all decorated with gold and silver.

All these windows had silver carved doors opening outwards. All these windows had long light blue curtains with golden embroidery and fringes. All the curtains were open and blowing with the wind. The walls and ceiling were warm mid grey. Semi-circular gold strips placed around the corner of the roof. On the ceiling were two gold chandeliers with 12 arms, each 5 feet in diameter. A pale blue carpet on the floor of the room, embroidered with gold threads. There was no furniture in the room. Ravana was sitting between two chandeliers in the middle of the room.

Suddenly the movement of air inside the room increases. The curtains start flying and touching the ceiling. The gold chandelier hanging above starts swinging. Windows shutters start opening and closing. But Ravana was in his meditation, it did not make any difference to him.

Sounds of someone laughing start coming from somewhere in the distance. Gradually the sounds increased and became hoarse. Seven vampires came in one after the other from the south window. They had long hair, a big nose, big eyes, big teeth, and a big face. They had an upper body but the lower part was like a tail. They looked as if they were made of thick smoke. They loved to drink the blood of demons and taste their flesh.

They started trying to divert his attention. Someone started shouting loudly near his ear. Someone sat on his lap. Someone climbed on his shoulder. Someone started pulling his hair. Ravana did not pay any attention. But when they crossed the limit and started spreading dirt on his body, Ravana lost his concentration and fell down on the ground with a thud. He ran away into the gallery in a rage. All the vampires ran after him laughing loudly.

First, he grabbed a vampire by the hair of his head and punched him in the face. The punch was so strong that his two big front teeth were broken and he fell down from the gallery. Then he caught hold of the tail of the other and threw it hard on the floor of the gallery, due to which it bounced like a ball and fell into the concentric circle of the garden. He held the hair of the third vampire and spun him round and round, his hair came into his hand but the vampire disappeared from there. Seeing the condition of the three, all four vampires started running here and there. Now he started running after them.

He punched the fourth vampire hard in the face and pushed his nose into his face. Holding his face he ran away screaming. He grabbed the neck of the fifth vampire, took out his right eye, put it in his mouth and forced him to swallow it. Seeing this, the remaining two vampires got scared and ran away through the south facing window.

Ravana was extremely angry and was in no mood to spare anyone. He jumped from the balcony and ran towards the pond in the south direction. Hearing the voice, some soldiers of the palace ran after him. He held the tails of those two vampires and washed them like a washerman. His soldiers stood like mannequins and watched everything. They did not know what to do because there was a fight going on between Ravana and the vampire. They enjoyed watching the vampire's fight. Ravana kicked both of them one by one and sent them flying. Who went straight to Indra's court and fell at his feet, seeing which Indra got scared and jumped up and stood on the throne.
