Power Rangers Dino Charge: Changed Hearts

Back at the base the core rangers had demorphed already, waiting for the new rangers to demorph as well. Pine and Scarlet would look at one another, removing their gems from their blasters, revealing themselves to be Jasper and Forest. "Hey it's you from earlier today!" Tyler would gasp out.

Yellow would sigh softly and demorph, showing herself to be Saffron. "You know my brother?"

"Y-you?!" Tyler's eyes would widen. "... Saf?" Saffron's eyes would also widen at the nickname, both staring at one another, wide eyed.

Amber Beach, 9:00 AM. Friday Spetember 9th. It was another morning at the Museum, everyone went about their business and work. In the cafe, Kathryn was working on her latest blog post which was her recipe for brownies.

"Hey Kathryn, working on another post for your blog I assume?" Riley sat with her and saw the post being worked on.

"Yea it's actually my recipe for chocolate brownies." Kathryn responded back with a smile and lays her head on his shoulder.

"We should bake them sometime. It would surely be amazing." Riley wrapped an arm around Kathryn while she typed out the recipe for the brownies and uploads it onto her blog.

Meanwhile Saffron, Tyler and Chase sat in the cafe as well. "So... you're new here, I'm Chase, pleasure to meet you." The Black Ranger would smirk and wink while handing the former villain a rose.

"Uhm... yes, I am... but I actually don't like roses..." Saffron would awkwardly say while Chase pulled the rose away. Saffron would glance at the rose and sneeze softly.

"Hey Kathryn, would you mind accompying me to visit my family? Besides this could be a good photography opportunity." Riley held out his hand for the female in which Kathryn accepts.

"Yea sure I'd love to. Can you put my camera and stand in my bag please?" Kathryn asked Riley. Riley obliges to Kathryn's request and puts up her camera and stand in her bag properly. Once the items were packed up, the two walk off to visit Riley's family.

Upon arriving at the farm, Kathryn would glance down at her outfit and smile softly. 'At least I'm not too fashionable right now.' She would think before adjusting her bag on her arm.

Entering the house, Riley would look at his mom and smile greeting her with a hug. "It's nice to see you again Riley. Your brother will be coming back shortly from a walk." Mrs.Griffin told Riley and notices Kathryn with him. "Ah I see you brought a girl with you. She's beautiful." The older woman looked to Kathryn admiring her beauty.

"We'll be back soon mom. We're going out for a walk and I'll be showing Kathryn the farm." Riley grabs Kathryn's hand departing the house with the male giving Kathryn a tour of the farm. Kathryn was amazed at the scenery and beauty snapping photographs of the nature around the place.

"You have a beautiful farm." Kathryn compliments to him.

"I can't wait to see the photos you took today." Riley smiled back only to hear noise from nearby causing the male to put his arm out for the female in case it was a bad guy.

"Hey, calm down little brother, it's just me." A cowboy-like male would say walking up. "Still as timid as ever."

Riley would sigh at his brother's comment, "It seems you haven't changed either, Matt." Kathryn would look between the two brothers and would stay quiet.

"You brought a girl to the farm?" Matt asked, nodding his head over to Kathryn.

"Yeah, am I not allowed to?" Riley would some-what sass his elder sibling.

"You know I don't like having people over." Matt would say, his face turning stern.

Riley would notice his face change, glancing at Kathryn. "Ryn, go back to the house please."

"Bu-"

"Now!" Riley would lash out at Kathryn. Kathryn would flinch and only nod softly, leaving.

"Why would you bring her here!?" Are you trying to get us killed?!" Matt was furious at his brother.

"This is a good opportunity for her to do some photography for her blog! Have you been living under a rock all this time!?" Riley argued back at his brother.

"Good opportunity?! Good opportunity?! Riley we don't invite strangers to our farm! She could hurt our animals and crops!" Matt would growl.

"Well you are an idiot Matt. Kathryn is an amazing photographer. She would be more than happy to post the photographs on her blog page. Then you'll regret your words." Riley argued back.

"Ahh boy~ How sad, we're fighting over a girl I see~" A metal water-like monster would wipe a tear from his eyes.

"Wrench..." Riley would whisper wide eyed.

"Get down!" Riley shouted as Wrench attacks the brothers in which Riley takes out his Dino Saber to fight Wrench. "Unleash the power!" Riley shouts morphing into the green ranger. It was this moment that Matt runs back to the farm in a panic leaving the green ranger to fight Wrench.

Matt would enter the house in a panic. "There- there's a monster!" He would yell. Kathryn and Ms. Griffin would look at one another and then at Matt.

"Where's Riley?" Ms. Griffin asked.

"I- I don't know!" Matt would panic trying to calm down. Kathryn would feel her face turn dark/determined and then run out of the room to try to find Riley.

"I'll go find him! Stay here!" Kathryn runs out of the house to find Riley only to see him fighting Wrench but hides from a safe distance. "Riley.. I want to fight as a ranger at your side.." Kathryn whispered to herself.

From the ground a light purple glow is seen and an energem rises up bonding with Kathryn. "What's happening?!" She screamed in shock as a morpher and charger appeared befor her.

"Alright Wrench.. you messed with the wrong ranger.." Dino Charger ready! Unleash the Power!" Kathryn morphs into the Lavender Ranger. "Holy cow! I morphed!" Kathryn was shocked now that she was a ranger.

Wrench would glare at the two and fight them. "Another ranger?! How!" The sad monster would scream before disappearing.

"Well today went well did it?" Riley wraps an arm around Kathryn with a smile as they prepare to go back to the base.

"Yes. It did. Atleast I got a new blog post to work on." Kathryn chuckled and they go back to the base.

"Holy heck. Today was absolutely one crazy ride.. Wrench attacked and I bonded with an energem." Kathryn holds up the energem in her hand.

"No way! You bonded with the lavender energem sis! Welcome to the team Kat." Tyler hugs his little sister in happiness that there was another ranger on the team.

Saffron would smile subtly at Kathryn. "Congrats." She would say.

"Thanks Saf!" Kathryn would smile.

"Saf? Why do you call me that?" Saffron would ask.

"That's my fault-" Tyler would laugh nervously. "-Your brother called you that the fist time we met... I just kinda stick with it."

Saffron would feel her eyes widen. "DON'T CALL ME THAT!" She'd squeak.

"It's such a cute nickname~ Saf." Kathryn would tease.

"KATHRYN!!" Saffron would squeal.

"How cute..." Tyler would smile softly seeing the two argue playfully.
