*tap tap tap* The heels of the young CEO clicked on the polished marble floor. He held a paper cup in his right hand, occasionally taking small sips from it while the other was tucked in the pocket of his navy blue dress pants which he had styled with a white shirt and navy blue blazer.
"Good morning Mr. Park" the lady at the front desk greeted him with her sweet voice to which he just nodded and walked ahead. The office was already lively with the regular hustle and bustle. The gurgling of the coffee machine, chatting of the employees-some on office phones for work while some among themselves. The patters of shoes as they go around, the sound of baseball in television- the man stopped on his tracks and looked to his right where a group of workers were watching baseball at 9 in the morning.
"Good morning guies" He said after he went towards them. The employees struggling to stand up and bowing
"Good morning Mr. Park" They all greeted nervously."I don't think office is a place to watch baseball now is it?"
"No sir,we are extremely sorry"
"Hmm,get back to work" That being said he took the stairs up to his office on the third floor. Now here's the reason for taking the stairs instead of a elevator in a 30 story building. The man was claustrophobic and couldn't stand elevators. Although the elevators in his office were transparent,he still didn't use them. Due to which they had to shift his office to the third floor from the 30th floor.
Now he lives in a penthouse apartment, but there's always a person accompanying him to his door,so that doesn't cause a problem.
He pushed open the huge wooden mahogany doors, revealing his assistant slacked on his desk, cheek squished upon the keyboard which had typed God knows what to God knows who.
"Look alive Jackson" the man called out his best friend cum assistant who jostled awake, yeeting the keyboard off the table and shattering it in process. The CEO grimanced at the noise and sighed at him.
"Why do you come like a ghost?" His blonde friend complained.
"I don't and besides you were the one sleeping during office hours."
"Huh,somebody's in a foul mood today, but don't worry constant I got your back. There's something on your table that is enough to brighten your entire day" Jackson wiggled his eyebrows with a mischievous smile.
"Bold of you to talk to me in such an informal manner Wang"
"You love me. Wang Gae"
"Park Gae" the CEO's neck turning red in embarrassment as he entered his office, away from a squealing Jackson.
The office exuded sleek sophistication,it's clean lines and minimalist aesthetic bathed in soft led lighting. Right behind the desk, the floor to ceiling window framed the cityscape. A sprawling, low profile desk in rich, dark wood anchored the space with an ergonomic chair in mesh and polished chrome.
A matching bookshelf stretched across one wall, lined with leather bound classics, sleek modern bestsellers and artistic coffee table books. Glass shelves displayed sculptural glass vases and geometrical metal art.
Among the files and papers sprawling across his desk,a medium sized photo frame claimed it's space. The photo displayed a young Jinyoung with his parents and sisters, smile so wide his eyes crinkled.
The said man took his seat and opened his tablet to look at whatever his assistant had in store for him. As soon as he saw the first page of the latest Popsugar blog- a leading and genuine celebrity gossip blog- his eyes brightened and he felt like the exhaustion he had came in with was just lifted off his shoulder.
