The three hunters had been in Los Angeles for nearly a week before Sam finally found them a case. Kat had enjoyed the break, spending time by the pool and sunbathing, getting a tan, but now, she was more than ready to get back to work. The relaxation had been fun, but hunting was in her blood.

They were now at Warner Bros. Studios, joining the trolley tour, passing by movie and television sets. Kat glanced around at the tour, trying to appear interested, but mostly, she was just going through the motions.

The tour guide spoke into the microphone, his voice echoing in the open-air trolley. "First opened in 1927, the lot has been in continuous operation for eight decades."

Dean turned to the kid sitting next to him, who was enjoying an ice cream cone. Dean leaned closer, his tone conspiratorial, "Hey, you know this is where they filmed 'Creepshow'?"

The kid looked at Dean like he was some kind of weirdo and then looked away without a word. Dean seemed undeterred, his excitement only growing as the tour went on.

The tour guide continued, "Now, to the right, here is Stars Hollow. It's the setting for the television series, Gilmore Girls. And if we're lucky, we might even catch one of the show's stars."

Kat tilted her head thoughtfully. "You know, I never really liked Gilmore Girls," she mused aloud. "I prefer One Tree Hill. Sophia Bush..." She trailed off, an appreciative smile gracing her lips. Sam turned slightly, looking uncomfortable at the turn of conversation, while Dean flashed him a thumbs up, clearly entertained.

"Come on," Sam said, hopping off the trolley, ready to get to work.

Dean gave a playful grin. "Let's finish the tour!" he shouted.

Kat let out an exaggerated sigh before following suit. "Dean!" she called, trying to get him to focus.

Dean reluctantly hopped off, too, as they left the tour behind to go snoop around the lot.

Dean looked positively giddy, his eyes wide as he glanced around. "Sammy, check it out," he said, nudging Sam. "It's Matt Damon!"

Sam barely glanced in the direction Dean was pointing, his eyebrows furrowed skeptically. "Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's not Matt Damon."

"No, it is," Dean insisted.

"Uh, Dean," Sam said, pointing at the man who was now sweeping the sidewalk, "Matt Damon just picked up a broom and started sweeping."

Kat smirked at Dean, enjoying how excited he looked. He was like a kid in a candy store. It was cute.

Dean huffed, still determined. "Yeah, well, he's probably researching a role or something."

Sam shook his head and noticed a sign pointing to Stage 9. "Hey, this way," he said, tugging Dean along. "I think Stage 9 is over here."

Dean sighed in defeat, dragging his feet. "Come on, man, let's keep going this way," he tried, pointing in the opposite direction.

"No, come on," Sam said, shaking his head. "We've got work to do." He paused, looking at Dean's reluctant expression. "Dude, you wanted to come to LA."

Dean groaned, running a hand over his face. "Yeah, for a vacation. I mean, swimming pools, movie stars..." He turned and gave Kat a once-over. "Kat in a bikini! Not to work."

Kat rolled her eyes, used to Dean's flirty comments by now, though she refused to give him the satisfaction of seeing her blush. Still, ever since that morning when they woke up tangled together—her head resting on his chest, his arms wrapped around her—she couldn't help but think about it whenever he did his usual teasing. It left her wondering if it meant anything more, or if she was just reading into it.
