A group of Cybertronians wearing jetpacks flew through the air, heading deeper into the mines. Orion Pax, D-16, and Silverstorm were in the same group. "Metal to the pedal, drill bits! This is it!" A pink, femme Cybertronian miner bot yelled. "How much can Energon you mine under my leadership?" Elita said. Silverstorm didn't like her as much, but she respected her. "So much, Elita-1!" The group replied. "And how perfect is my mining record?" Elita said. "So perfect, Elita-1!" They replied again. "We are a mere 30 units of Energon away from my promotion to supervisor! Are you happy for me?" Elita said again. "So happy, Elita-1!" They replied with no hesitation. Elita-1 is the leader of the miners. She makes sure that everything goes well to produce Energon. Elita-1 has been working in this position for a long time, and she pushes them the hardest not to get in trouble with the guards. Eita-1 is stubborn, but she has a kind heart it's just she does not show it.

As soon as they landed, they ran after Elita. "Elita, I mean captain, you are looking especially shiny this morning. New polish?" complimented Orion. Elita-1 responded, "Orion Pax, I'm sorry that I somehow gave you the impression that we're friends." Orion smiled and said, "Apology accepted." Silverstorm faceplanted of Orion's behavior. Elita-1 ordered, "Light up that wall! Let's go! Ten seconds!" Grabbing a saw from a mining cart, Orion said, "Happy to take the lead today, Captain, I feel like I have enough power in me to drill down and touch Primus myself." Elita scoffed in annoyance. "You don't have the touch or the power." Elita-1 replied before tapping into her comlink. "Ready positions, rust buckets! Let's go." They watched as Elita-1 run away. "She's in a good mood today." Orion commented.  D-16 hums in agreement. "Ready?" Orion asked him. "Always ready. Let's punch in." D-16 returned with a grin, tapping his fist against Orion's. "Let's do this!" Silverstorm yelled.

As the tunnel cave opened, the electric Energon sparks rained down the floor with tiny energons. "Here we go. This won't stay open for long! Lift it up!" commanded Elita-1 as she guided the group through the crackling, unstabled cave tunnel. "Here we go!" Lift it up!" They yelled. Brace rods were put like pole mechanisms, serving as supports to hold the cave together. "Lower channel is clear." Elita-1 announced as the mining team went deeper into the Energon cave. As everyone lands on the floor, they activate their machines and begin drilling the Energon. The sound of saws and jackhammer drilling machines rumbled throughout the cave. Silverstorm used her saw as she got some chucks of Energon and put them in each cart. Hours passed as one by one of the carts were filled with chunks of Energon and brought out one by one.

Silverstorm was busy sawing when she heard Wheeljack call, "I found a vein!" Silverstorm listened to a crack, turned to see Energon begin to crackle and spark, and saw that the crack splitting the wall appeared. Orion turned toward the bright light, seeing Wheeljack step back from the spot. "It's unstable! We've got to go! We've got to move!" Orion yelled as he grabbed Silverstorm's servo. The cave shook as everyone abandoned their drilling tools and activated their jetpacks to escape. Suddenly, an explosion echoed through the cave, bringing a blinding burst of flaming Energon, hurling everyone forward. "Evacuate! I want everyone out! Evacuate immediately! The tunnel is closing! I repeat, the tunnel is closing!" Elita-1 screamed. Orion Pax soared through the collapsing cave holding Silverstorm's servo as he looked behind him to ensure everyone was unharmed. "You're with me, D?" he commanded of D-16. "On your six! Keep going!" D-16 responded, passing the rocks hurtling toward them.

A rock smacked them from above, causing their jetpacks to fall off as they crashed against the ground until a cry of pain from a miner, who got caught underneath one of the rocks, "Elita! Jazz is stuck! I've got a trapped miner! Falling back to assist!" Orion yelled, running back to assist him. Silverstorm and D-16 joined his side, working together to push the rock off the Jazz's pede. "Negative! Do not break protocol! Evacuate!" Elita-1 returned in their comms. "We don't got any more left!" D-16 grunted, struggling to push the rock up. "It's closing!" Silverstorm pushed her hardest. "Just grab your pack and go!" he yelled, not wanting to be a burden on the three miners. Orion turned away, "Good idea." He returned. "What? No! I didn't mean it!!" Jazz screamed. Orion put the jetpack between the rock and Jazz's pede.

He activated it, giving the extra force so they could pull Jazz free. "Pull up, clear!" D-16 glanced at Orion Pax, who grabbed Jazz and got him free until the jetpack underneath exploded, making the rock explode a large burst of Energon. Orion Pax covered Jazz and Silverstorm, and D-16 blocked himself. They turned back, looking at both the rock and Jazz in shock. "You okay, Silverstorm?" Orion asked as he looked at her. "Yeah, I'm okay." Silverstorm responded. "Pax, what's happening?" Elita asked in their comms. "Uh, nothing much, just normal protocol and following stuff, it's all good." Orion replied. They sighed in relief that nothing happened until they heard a sound from the lower mining tunnel. "Oh, that's not good." Orion murmured. "Uh, oh." Silverstorm, stepping back.

Outside with the others, Elita-1 and her team were waiting. "Orion Pax, may you please exit the tunnel of death." Elita-1 said sternly with annoyance. "Elita! It's about to get messy out there!" Orion returned in the comms. The same shockwave erupted, pushing her and the team back. The cave rocks begin to cave in quickly. With the loud sound of the brace rods snapping under pressure, Orion led the way, smashing rocks as Silverstorm was helping Orion carry Jazz, and D-16 was trailing behind. "Go! Go! Go!" Orion ordered. Just before the entrance closes, Elita-1 puts herself between the entry border with a brace pole to hold the cave entrance apart.

The three jumped through, Orion diving to push his captain out of the way, Silverstorm holding Jazz as they fell together, and D-16 had to jump through a narrow gap that would have cut his lower body off if he didn't make it. The gateway that held up the cave's entrance collapsed. Just as a brace pole tossed through the air. It accidentally hit a pipe, damaging and destroying a powering machine that shut down, and the mine equipment suffered damage. Silverstorm helped Jazz and gave him health care as she caught up with Orion and D-16. "What the hell, Pax? I told you to evacuate." Elita-1 growled with annoyance, grabbing Orion's attention. "I did." Orion responded, not caring about the consequences. "We couldn't just leave Jazz, Elita." Silverstorm growled, looking at her. Elita-1 glared back as Orion went between them and broke up. "Woah, woah, calm down ladies." Orion chuckled nervously. They both back away, looking away from each other. "If I get fired because of you." Elita growled, pointing at Orion as she knew it would get her in trouble. "Oh, please, they're not gonna fire you." Orion scoffs her off.

Darkwing landed behind Elita. "Elita-1, you're fired." Darkwing said. "What?" Elita turned to him in disbelief. "I followed protocol to the letter!" Elita-1 explained to Darkwing. "Ah, that was true. I was the one who broke the rules....." Orion Pax stepped in, taking the responsibility. "No one asked you." Elita-1 pushed him aside as she turned to the Darkwing with a pleading expression. "Darkwing, please, I worked too hard for this....." Elita continued. "You are no-cog bots with limited options." Darkwing cut her off. "Report to Waste Management immediately." He pointed at her.

"Waste management?" Elita responded in disbelief. "Elita," Orion explained. "Next time. Stop and think before you ruin someone's life." Elita-1 angrily shoved him as she walked past. "I'm sorry!" Optimus called. Silverstorm, standing next to Orion. "Ouch." She whispered. Orion glanced between Elita-1 and Darkwing, annoyed by unfair treatment. "Hey, Darkwing!" Orion Pax called out. "Don't do it." D-16 sighed, not liking what his friend was doing despite already getting in trouble with Elita-1. "I may not have a cog, but my finger can transform." Orion walked forward, holding up a fist. "Guess which one. I'll give you a limited option." Orion's middle finger started to flip up as he mimicked the sound of a transformer. Darkwing turned, about to punch Orion.

However, D-16 caught the fist with his servo, saving his friend. "Excuse me, sir. Allow me." D-16 said as he punched Orion in the cheek. Silverstorm winced at Orion. "I apologize on his behalf for the disrespect....." D-16 tried explaining the situation. D-16 managed to block Darkwing's other fist, but the second one sent him punched into the ground, groaning. Silverstorm winced again, feeling bad for them. Darkwing turned to her. "What are you looking at?" Darkwing asked. "Nothing, Darkwing." Silverstorm replied quietly. Darkwing grunted and turned, walking down the hall. "Are you guys okay?" Silverstorm asked, looking at them. They groan in pain and rub their cheeks. "Yeah. We're okay." They both answered. Silverstorm walked to Orion Pax and D-16, grabbing their servos and pulling them up. "Come on, let's get out of here before Darkwing returns." Silverstorm said. "Good Idea. I'm in." They agreed as they walked back to the train.
