Arriving at school, Ynes notices how Maeve was acting strange.

"Are you sure you're okay?" She asked before Maeve went out of the car.

Maeve looked at her frowning but instantly looked away after meeting her gaze.

"I'm sure," she said as she hopped out of the car

"I'm sure," she said as she hopped out of the car. She watched her walk around and open the door for her.

Maeve put her protective hand on her head as she stepped out before closing the door.

She looked at Maeve for a few seconds.

"Stop staring," the younger girl said before taking the older girl's bag.

"Dapat ako nalang talaga nag drive," she utters as they both walk inside, but unlike how Maeve usually walks, which is beside her, Maeve was a few steps behind, making Ynes feel that something is really going on with her little rascal.

She stopped and turned around, making Maeve stop as well.

"Lumapit ka nga." Her tone was firm, sending shivers to the younger girl.

Her eyes looked everywhere except from her.

"What's up with you?" she asked, frowning.

Maeve, on the other hand, found herself gulping as she tried to look at Ynes's face.

And there it was, the unrecognizable flutter in her stomach, making her heart beat faster than it used to.

"You're going to be late. Let's go," Maeve said, finding an excuse. Even though she's not sure she'll do it

She took Ynes's hand, intertwining it together before starting to walk. The sparks that jolted in her skin as soon as she held her hand could surpass any electric company you could ever know.

"I'll see you later," she said upon arriving at Ynes's room. She gave her the bag before letting go of her hand.

When she knew that she was far enough from their room, she ran like a maniac to the back of the school, not caring about her first subject.
