Aziel's house, 2022

"Oh man do you remember my graduation party? It was totally lit." Aziel says, I chuckle.

"Yeah I guess but for the most part I was kinda inside the whole time." I reply, he rolls his eyes.

"Let me guess you're gonna bring up that one girl you were with?" Aziel asks, I smile.

"No I wasn't but since you brought her up first sure." I say, Aziel stretches and leans back into his couch.

"I don't know who this mystery girl is, I actually can't remember anything from that night." Aziel says while thinking back.

"I don't know she was totally unreal, she was really fucking pretty. I've never been so... what's the word for it?" I ask Aziel.

" Infatuated? Mesmerized? IN LOVE!" He says while laughing towards the end, I look at him and  purse my lips.

"No not in love, I guess stuck on. After all these years I still think about her. I guess it was her charm and the way she joked and the way she could actually take a joke without getting mad and how incredibly captivating she was. I hardly talked to her for a decent amount of time but I still think about her." I say while smiling, i look up and see Aziel looking shocked.

"Dude you're fucking crazy!" He says while he bursts out laughing.

"Yeah well you wouldn't know anything about that would you." I say, he stops laughing.

"What do you mean bruh, I have a date later actually." Aziel says while getting up.

"With who?" I ask, he looks at himself in the mirror and smiles.

"Hazel. You know Hazel right?" He says while turning around, I nod.

"Yeah the short girl with red hair." I say, he smiles and nods.

"Yeah I guess she's liked me for a while so I asked her out and now we're going on a date. I think it'll go good since we're like best friends." Aziel says, I smile, I was happy for him.

"That's really good Aziel, I hope you have fun on your date." I say.

Aziel's house 2024

I paced around back and forth, I didn't know what to do.

"Dude this is the girl, the girl from your graduation party." I say, I hand Aziel the phone.

"Oh that's Ver! Yeah, oh Wait that's who you've been stuck on this whole time?" He asks, I stop and look at him.

"Yea Aziel, that's the girl I've been lowkey in love with for 5 years. And look at how I looked at her, I look fucking insane!" I say while sitting down. He laughs.

"Dude you look like you wanna kiss her soo bad." Aziel says while laughing.

"Okay serious situation what do I do." I ask. Aziel sighs and looks at me.

"Well the only thing you can do now is follow her, dm her and ask her out, duh." Aziel says while handing me back my phone.

"Nuh uh no way not in a million years. I'm not sliding into her DM's like some weirdo." I say, Aziel rolls his eyes.

"Okay maybe just maybe I can get Hazel to bring her here for like a good little barbecue or something and I could accidentally invite you so you guys can just like.. talk." Aziel says.

"Okay that seems better, but maybe not so soon." I say while thinking, "maybe in like a week or two when things settle down."

"Alright man, whatever works best for you." He says while scrolling on his phone.

Aziel has gotten a long way, he's not the brightest  not to be rude but you know. He's kind of a comedic relief, but he's not dumb, he knows when someone's down playing him. He's been in a lot of fucking shows, he's even up for an Emmy for best lead actor in a comedy series. Right now he's kind of taking a little break since he's been working on a movie for the past few months. He's also gotten a long way with Hazel, he went from being kind of passed around to being in a committed relationship with this girl he's totally crazy about.

"Hey Hazels saying that Verena followed you." Aziel said, I got on Instagram and I saw it.

@verenaanovak has followed you.

"Uh yeah she did, I just followed her back." I said, Aziel nodded and went back to his phone.

I couldn't stop thinking about her, she was just so beautiful but in a timeless way. She wasn't the typical white swan beauty with light features and a bubbly personality and is always trying to please everyone around her. She was a dark swan, she had these eyes that you couldn't take your eyes off of and she knew how to persuade people. She didn't treat people like shit but also wasn't kissing everyone's ass, she knew who she was.

"Alright man, I'm gonna head back home." I say to Aziel, we both stand up and dab eachother up.

"Alright, let me know about the barbecue plans we have whenever you wanna go through with it." Aziel says, I nod before walking out his door and getting into my car.

As soon as I turn on my car, thinkin bout you by Frank Ocean starts playing, the timing was perfect. I drove down the street passing by the houses that all looked so different yet the same, they all had history. As I drove past them all, one house caught my eye, it was gated and huge. It had lots of trees and windows, it was my dream house. I was also thinking about Verena who I hardly knew, she was... I guess you could say, my dream girl.
