Fortune or knight?

The following morning, they'd all swapped back. Everything felt normal today however, Reece was in a more clingy mood than usual. Marjorie was going to work today as Reece was staying home, but he wouldn't let her get up.

Autumn and winter on the other hand  knew they'd see eachother after work, so they got up and got ready. Marjorie wasn't having as much luck.

"Reece, come on, I have to go to work."
"No." Reece mumbled into her shoulder.
"Reece, please my love." She pleaded with him.
"No." He said again, sounding more sad this time that she had to go.
"If I take you to work with me, will you let me go?" She asked.

Reece nodded and let her go, groaning when she actually got up and left him.

"Good morning my sweet." Winter was downstairs making breakfast, when autumn came up behind him and slithered her hands around his waist.
"Good morning darling, you didn't have to make breakfast, I would've cooked it." She said, kissing his cheek.
"Thought I'd take some of the weight of your shoulders, seeing your carrying our baby." He smiled at the thought of a mini him or autumn running around.
"Yeah." Autumn sighed, sounding upset.
"What's wrong love?" Winter asked, turning off the stove and turning to face her.

Autumn went quiet for a moment, her eyes welling with tears. She was so scared something would happen to her baby, given last time. Marjorie always told her nothing would happen, but she couldn't be so sure.

"I'm really worried about the baby." Autumn whispered.
"Why." Winter asked again.
"Because of what happened last time, I can't go through that again." Autumn hung her head low.

Winter went quiet for a minute which scared autumn, until he finally said.

"My darling." He started, lifting up her chin. "If that does happen, I'll be right here by your side, you'll never have to go through it alone. I love you, always have, always will." He smiled, placing a kiss on the side of her head.

"Now go sit down, foods almost ready." He said, his voice soft.

"I'm just gonna hop in the shower my boy, alright?" Marjorie whispered, careful not to startle him.
"Can I join you?" Reece asked.
"We both know no showering would get done if you came with me." She laughed. "You stay here."
"Fine." He groaned, rolling over onto Marjorie's side of the bed.

Reece decided to just get up, and go make a start on breakfast. He was making Marjorie's favourite, egg with toast and bacon. It had to be scrambled though, she hated the texture of the whites.

Marjorie soon came downstairs, wearing Reece's black hoodie, with a pair of black flairs, she also had her hair curled.

Reece placed her food on the kitchen island, his hands slithering round her waist as she ate.
"Are you not eating darling?" She asked.
"I'm not hungry." He replied.
"Eat something before we leave, okay?"
"Mhm." He nodded, kissing her neck.

Marjorie finished up her breakfast and turned around to kiss Reece.
"You wearing that?" She teased.
"Yeah, what's wrong with it?" He was wearing a white plain t-shirt with black joggers.
"Nothing." She laughed. "You look good my love." She said, running her hands through his semi- messy hair.
"Come on then, it's already 7:45." She said. "Wait actually." Marjorie picked up an apple and shoved it into Reece's mouth, forcing him to take a bite.
"There, now we can go." She giggled slightly, picking up her bag off the countertop.

"Are you ready to go my love?" Autumn asked.
"I am my sweet. You two okay?"
Autumn smiled at how much winter cared about her and the baby. She took one of his hands and placed it on her stomach.
"We're very well." She laughed slightly.
"Well the my darling." Winter started, kissing her stomach and then autumn. "I hope it stays like that."

Winter smiled at his girl, admiring her, like he did on the night they met.
