Chapter 3: First Day Of School

Fadli pov 
Today is the first day of school. I’m preparing my things, and I’ve also gotten my sword ready. Then Alfred, the head butler of the palace, comes into my room. 
Alfred:"Excuse me, Prince Fadli, Prince Adrian and Prince Orion have come to see you" 
Fadli:"Thank you, please let them in" 
Alfred:"Alright, my Prince" 
Not long after, Adrian and Orion enter my room. 
Adrian:"Hi, Fadli" 
Fadli:"What brings you guys here so early?" 
Orion:"We want to go to school together" 
Then they look at my sword. 
Adrian:"Fadli, are you sure you want to bring that sword?" 
Fadli:"Why? It's the only sword I have" 
Orion:"Your sword is just like ours; it is a royal family sword, it has the emblem of the Neo Kingdom engraved on it" 
I then look at my sword. 
Fadli:"Oh, I just noticed that" 
I search for a cloth and tie it to cover the kingdom's emblem. 
Fadli:"Now, if it looks like this, it won’t be obvious, right?" 
Adrian:"Yeah, I think let’s go" 
We head to the academy together. 

We attend the new student welcoming ceremony in the hall. 
Fadli:"Wow, it’s very crowded here" 
Fadli:"Oh, there’s Uncle Gabriel and Uncle Australis too" 
Orion:"Of course, the kings and nobles will attend this event" 
We then meet Linzy and Elen in the hall. 
Fadli:"Hi, Linzy, Elen" 
Elen:"Hi, Fadli" 
Linzy:"Hi, Fadli, you guys are always together" 
Then Linzy notices my sword. 
Linzy:"Fadli, your sword is really beautiful, but doesn’t it look like a high-class sword?" 
Fadli:"Oh this? This is a gift from Adrian and Orion" 
Not long after, two girls run towards Adrian and Orion. 

One has dark blue hair, and the other has blonde hair. 
Blue hair:"Adrian!" 
She jumps and hugs Adrian. 
Blonde:"Orion, good morning" 
Adrian:"Come on, Mari let go of me" 
Orion:"Tasya, good morning" 
Fadli:"Who are they?" 
Adrian:"The girl with blue hair is my fiancée" 
Orion:"The blonde one is my fiancée" 
Fadli:"Fiancées? Why didn’t you ever tell me?" 
Adrian:"Because you never asked" 
Then they introduce themselves. 
Marinette:"Let me introduce myself, I’m Marinette Dupaint Marienkäfer, the second princess of the Marienkäfer Kingdom and fiancée of Prince Adrian, nice to meet you, Mister Fadli" 
Anastasya:"Let me introduce myself, I’m Anastasya Vladovic Corvus, the first princess of the Corvus Kingdom and fiancée of Prince Orion" 

I pulled Adrian and Orion, then whisper to them. 
Fadli:"Do they know my real identity?" 
Adrian:"No, they only know you as our friend" 
I then turn and bow to the princesses. 
Fadli:"Good morning, Princess Anastasya and Princess Marinette, nice to meet you, my name is Fadli" 
Mari:"No need to be so formal, you can call me Marinette or Mari" 
Tasya:"You can call me Tasya too, besides, at the academy, we are forbidden from using our family names" 
I smile and give them two thumbs up. 
Fadli:"You both pass" 

But they all look confused. 
Tasya:"Huh?" 
Mari:"Pass? What do you mean?" 
Fadli:"I just tested your characters, and it turns out you’re not arrogant. You also smile sincerely without any pretense; you both suit them very well" 
They still seem puzzled. 
Mari:"Thank you? But how do you know we aren’t lying?" 
Fadli:"My eyes can distinguish between pretense and sincerity, so no lies can escape my gaze" 
Elen:"Is that true?" 
Adrian:"That’s true, and because of him, Orion and I can also detect lies, even just a little" 
Orion:"It’s almost time; let’s gather with the others" 

I then whisper to Adrian. 
Fadli:"Adrian, where do we sit?" 
Adrian:"Since we’re in Class S, we’ll be on the stage" 
Fadli:"Sigh, I really don’t want to be the center of attention" 
Adrian:"Just enjoy it; besides, you’re not the one giving the speech" 
Fadli:"I guess" 
Then we’re called to our seats, and we sit according to our rankings. I turn to Linzy and Elen. 
Fadli:"Linzy, Elen, I’m surprised you two are the children of a Duke" 
Linzy:"We thought you already knew; I thought Duke Silhoueska's name was pretty famous" 
Fadli:"Sorry, I live in the forest, so I don’t know" 
Fadli:"But it’s no wonder you both are very beautiful like princesses" 
Linzy and Elen’s faces turn red after I tease them. 
Linzy:"W-What do you mean, Fadli..." 
Adrian:"Fadli, can you stop flirting with them?" 
Fadli:"Sorry, sorry" 
The event begins, and the teacher who is hosting it calls Orion to give a speech. 
Teacher:"Alright, now we have a speech from the top student in school" 
Teacher:"Prince Orion Circinus Australis" 
His name is difficult, but it has a nice meaning. 
Orion then steps forward and gives his speech.

Third person pov 
They’re all in class. Then their teacher enters. 
Glenn:"Good afternoon, everyone, let me introduce myself, I’m your homeroom teacher, my name is Glenn Radar, I’m a former special forces member of the royal alliance" 
Adrian:'Wow, special forces, if I’m not mistaken, that is the most elite unit of the alliance' 
Orion:'I wonder how long he’s been a teacher' 
Linzy:'He looks really young; how old is he?' 
Ruby:'Is he still single?' 
Fadli:'Glenn Radar, huh? A special forces member with number 0 and has the nickname "Glenn the Fool," quite interesting' 
Glenn:'Interesting, it seems there’s someone who knows about me, well, it’s time for me to answer their questions' 
Glenn:"I’m 20 years old, I’m engaged, and I’ve been a teacher here for about a year. Yes, the special forces are the elite unit of the royal alliance" 
When Glenn answers like that, almost all the students there are confused. 
Fadli:'He seems like he’s answering someone’s question' 

Glenn looks at Fadli with a small smile.

Fadli is surprised to hear that, while the other students are even more confused. 
Fadli:'Huh, can he read my mind? Interesting' 
Fadli then closes the connection to his thoughts. 
Glenn:'Oh, not only is he aware, but he can also easily close my connection to his thoughts. The Lost Prince really is amazing' 
Fadli then whispers to Adrian and Orion. 
Fadli:"Adrian, Orion, he can read our minds; quickly close your thoughts" 
Adrian, Orion:"Okay" 
Glenn smiles. 
Glenn:'Even though they didn’t notice my ability, they both could easily close my connection; it seems this year's students are very promising' 

Glenn:"For those of you who are still confused, I just read your thoughts and then answered them" 
Glenn:"So far, I’ve noticed only one person who realized I was reading your thoughts, and only three people were able to close their connections" 
The students understand immediately, and Linzy asks. 
Linzy:"Sensei, who are the ones who realized and managed to close it?" 
Glenn:"The one who realized it is Fadli, and those who managed to close their connections are Fadli, Prince Orion, and Prince Adrian. The top three are indeed amazing" 

Linzy:"But Fadli is ranked second" 
Glenn:"From my observation, his ability is above theirs, even above mine. Besides, he’s ranked second only because he answered a few questions incorrectly" 
Adrian:"He purposely answered incorrectly, to be precise" 
Orion:"Only because he didn’t want to give a speech"

Then a student named Tony raises his hand. 
Tony:"Sensei, if you read our thoughts, then who knows about your identity?" 
Glenn:"The same person"

Adrian:"But I don't know" 
Orion:"I don't know either" 
Then everyone looked at Fadli. 
Fadli:"Why is everyone looking at me?" 
Orion:"How do you know about that special unit?" 
Fadli:"Oh, I read about them in a book" 
Adrian:"There's no way something so secret would be written in a book" 
Glenn:"There is a book about it, but it's highly classified" 
Fadli:"I found it by accident" 
Glenn:"Alright, let's end the Q&A session. For now, I will explain your schedule for tomorrow"
