Gents, I find myself at a crossroads.
Keep writing and hope for success that may or may not arrive... or evolve and seize it.
I'm choosing the latter. I won't waste my willpower endlessly writing novels and praying a Japanese studio or Netflix, or Wattpad or anything else picks me up (for now)—because, let's be honest, they won't given my current state.
Wattpad gave me the wake-up call I needed, watching poorly written, agenda-driven stories with fewer views and votes make the list while mine didn't. That's when I realized—it's time to expand. Not just to another platform, but to another medium entirely.
The truth is, more people read webcomics than web novels. Me, included. And I want to succeed. I want to be rich. This is my dream. I want to be known for the stories I create. If it won't happen through web novels, then it's going to happen through webcomics.
That's right, I'm making a webcomic.
I know some of you may find this concerning—it's a big decision, especially given my... well, let's call them developing drawing skills. I'll never undervalue your readership, but I'll be honest: my dream isn't just to share stories with a small group of people. I want to build a career from this. I want to be famous and filthy rich from my work.
So, I'm going to do it.
Web novel updates might slow, and they could even cease for a while, but I'm not dropping anything. Thank you for sticking with me through this evolution.
Tally ho, motherfuckers.
