The morning sun painted the sky in soft pastel hues as Camp Half-Blood lay still in its slumber, broken only by the gentle rustling of leaves and the distant chirping of birds.

While most campers were still wrapped in the embrace of sleep, the Aphrodite cabin was already bustling, laughter and chatter carrying through the morning air.

Their cabin, adorned with delicate decorations and blossoming flowers, seemed to come alive with the energy of its occupants.

Inez sat at her vanity, admiring her pearl necklaces, lost in the delicate beauty of the shimmering gems.

"Hey, Nezzy," Delilah called, popping up behind her sister. "Someone's here to see you."

Inez rolled her eyes. "Who ?, if it's Ophelia, tell her to fuck o—" she started, rising from her chair and walking toward the door.

A small smile tugged at her lips when she saw Percy standing there, his tousled blond hair and earnest expression softening her fiery demeanor.

She stepped outside, the door closing behind her with a soft click.

Percy smiled nervously. "Um... hi, uh, good morning. So, I've got this quest thing," he began. "To retrieve Zeus' lightning bolt. Blah, blah, blah. And, uh... they said I can pick some people to come with me. So, uh... I choose you."

Inez arched an eyebrow, her patience wearing thin. "You want me to go on a quest with you? Why?" she demanded, her fiery temper flickering.

Percy fumbled for words. "Well, I mean... you're, uh... good at stuff," he mumbled, his cheeks flushing with embarrassment.

"Good at stuff?" Inez echoed, her tone dripping with sarcasm. "What stuff? Sitting around combing my hair? Just so you know, I'm the best girl sword fighter at Camp Half-Blood, the best at using a dagger. I train most of these campers, and  I survived a Fury at five years old!"

Percy's eyes widened, taken aback by Inez's sharp retort. "I... uh... I didn't mean it like that," he stammered.

Inez folded her arms, her temper still simmering. "well Next time, think before you speak."

Percy exhaled. "Inez, I know you're the best fighter here, the youngest person to arrive, and you're smart and you know your charm speak will be useful "

"Stalker much?" she quipped, leaning against the doorway.

His cheeks reddened further. "Well, I asked Luke, so..." He scratched the back of his neck. "Is that a yes? Because I need to choose by today, and—"

"I'll think about it."

"Yeah, but I need to choose by toda—"

"I said I'll think about it!" she interrupted, slamming the door in his face.
