Sa mga sumunod na araw, Isabella's life became a blur of hospital visits and schoolwork. She spent every free moment by Miguel's bedside, hoping for any sign of improvement. Her parents were equally devastated, but they tried to stay strong for her sake. "We need to be positive, Isabella," sabi ng kanyang ama, though his eyes betrayed his worry.

Balancing her academic responsibilities with her family's crisis was overwhelming. Isabella's grades began to slip, and her teachers noticed. "Is everything alright, Isabella?" tanong ng kanyang math teacher, Mrs. Santos, one day after class.

"Yes, ma'am. I'm just a bit tired," she replied, forcing a smile. She didn't want anyone to know how much she was struggling. Admitting weakness felt like failure, and failure was not an option.

One evening, habang nag-aaral siya para sa isang major exam, her mother entered her room. "Isabella, you need to take a break. You're pushing yourself too hard."

"I can't, Mom. I have to do well," she insisted, her voice cracking. "I can't let you and Dad down."

Her mother sat beside her and took her hand. "Sweetheart, we love you no matter what. Your health and happiness are more important than any grade."

Isabella broke down in tears. "I just want Miguel to be okay. I don't know how to handle all of this."

"We'll get through this together," her mother assured her, hugging her tightly. "You're not alone."

The next day, Isabella decided to talk to her school counselor, Ms. Reyes. "I feel like I'm drowning," she confessed. "I can't keep up with everything."

Ms. Reyes listened patiently. "It's okay to ask for help, Isabella. You're dealing with a lot right now. Have you considered taking a short break from school to focus on your family?"

The idea of taking a break was terrifying, but Isabella knew she needed it. "I'll think about it," she said, feeling a small sense of relief.

As she left the counselor's office, she bumped into her best friend, Anna. "Hey, Isa. How are you holding up?"

"Not great," Isabella admitted. "But I'm trying."

Anna hugged her. "I'm here for you, okay? Whatever you need."

With the support of her family and friends, Isabella began to see a glimmer of hope. She realized that she didn't have to carry the weight of the world on her shoulders alone. It was okay to lean on others and take things one step at a time.
