JOSH

I needed to leave. Actually, received that call and text message from Ashley brought me back to reality. Was I really going to kiss her? I don't know. But did I want to do it? Hell yes. What is going on with me? Why am I so affected by this? I really need to take a moment and really think about it because it's driving me crazy. I will definitely do it later because at the moment I'm pulling over at Ashley's house. She texted me saying that she needed to see me ASAP.

I get out of my car walk to her door. I didn't have time to knock on it because it opens quickly, letting a visibly annoyed Ashley come into view. She crosses her arms and put her weight on one leg. She is only wearing short shorts and a white tank top.

"Where were you?"

"Hello to you too." I say going inside her house.

She closes the door and walks towards me.

"I've been trying to reach you for almost two hours!"

"I'm sorry, I didn't hear my phone." I say shrugging my shoulders.

"Where were you? Who were you with?"

What is this? An interrogation?

"I was out."

"Out? Where?"

"I was with a friend."

"Who? Claire?"

She says her name with disgust. My silence gives her the answer.

"What were you doing with her?"

"Nothing. I just want by her house and we ended up watching a movie with her mom."

Technically it's not a lie. They were indeed watching a movie when I showed up. For some reason, I don't want Ashley to know what really happened. The panic attack I mean. The only people that know that I have them are my parents, Stella, Killian and Claire and her mother. I intend to keep it that way.

By the look on Ashley's face, I could tell that she didn't believe a word I was saying.

"Bullshit.", she spat.

"I'm telling you the truth."

"Every time you get together with her there's always something behind it. What was the reason this time?"

"She needed to talk." I know I shouldn't lie. But knowing Ashley, she would make a big deal out of it if I told her that I was the one that needed to talk to Claire.

"About what?"

"It's personal. What's with all the questions? Why are you interrogating me?"

"Because you always run to her and I want to know why! As I recall, I am your girlfriend. Unless that's not what you want anymore. Maybe we should just break up."

Here we go again. I'm so sick of this.

"Why is every time I go see Claire or speak to her you get all defensive? Seriously, you need to stop."

"Oh come on Josh open your eyes! That girl is obsessed with you, no actually, she's in love with you, and she's waiting for you to make a move on her! That's why she's calling you all the time. And you go straight into that trap and run to her. Today she called you saying she needed to talk, then at that party you guys almost kiss so I'm actually wondering if something is going on between you two."

"How many times do I have to say this? NOTHING happened!"

"I don't believe you!"

"Then don't!" I raised my voice, making her step back.

I rub my temples. I have a migraine.

"Are you okay?"

"I need to lie down. My head is killing me."

"Then, come on. Let's go lie down."

I follow her to her room, without fighting it. Once inside she lies me down on her bed. I take off my leather jacket and put it on the floor. Ashley kneels in front of me and unzip and unbuttons my jeans. I could use some distraction.

"This will make you feel better."

I roll my eyes and let my head fall on the pillows when she puts my shaft in her mouth and start sucking it slowly.
