Aarav immediately hugged his legs "Sid bro aap mujhse ya mummy se naraz ho ?" he asked him who was busy gawking shehnaaz.
He couldn't process that they were both here at his door. She caught him ignoring her son there fore clears her throat to snap him back on earth.
He instantly, realized and apologized by picking up aarav who desperately waited for attention "I am sorry, please come in..." stepping aside, gives her way to walk in "main kyun naraz honga ?" he lovingly, asks aarav who smiles at him.
"Mummy ne aap par itna gussa joh kia upar se u didn't even come to see me pata itne dino se aap ka wait kar raha tha lekin aap aye he nahin isliye aapko manane ke liye maine aur mummy ne yeh muffins banaye, haina mummy ?!" faking a smile simply nodded at what her son narrated.
"How sweet champ waise aap manane ke liye laa sakte ho is baat bharosa kar sakta hoon lekin aap ke mummy .." he gestures through his dark black eyes towards shehnaaz.
"Bharosa karna bhi nahi chahiye kyunke mehnat tumhare liye nahin apne bete ke khushi ke liye ki hai after all ur his bro !!" she sarcastically, told as she doesn't want him to accept these muffins her gesture of apology.
"Mummy !!" aarav pleadingly, looked at her.
"Aap phirse suna rahe ho !" he cutely, pouted.
She rolled eyes "nahi beta facts state kar re hoon by the way aap yahan akele rehte ho ?" as there's no other way to dodge the topic.
Aarav will literally put words into her mouth for the sake of his happiness but she cannot say any thing until she truly means it.
"I live with my mom !" he says getting water and fresh orange juice from fridge.
"Kahan hain ?" she asks feeling uncomfortable.
"She's a working woman is waqt apne bakery me hote hain." he told, serving them cupcakes.
"That's great, no wonder she baked such yummy brownies last time." shehnaaz praised sarita ji.
"Oh god, matlab joh hum ne khaya tha woh inke mom ne banaya tha ?" aarav asks shehnaaz with excitement "hmm .." she nods, ruffling his hair.
"Sid bro, you have no idea mujhe kitna pasandh aya tha plz aap unko bologe mere liye bana dein ya phir aap hume apne bakery dikha doh also ye muffins aap apne mummy ko nahi khilana." told sidharth who questionably look at shehnaaz.
"Kyun bache ?" sidharth questioned.
"Hum unke tarah best joh nahin." aarav told him truthfully, shehnaaz agreed.
"Yes please, don't embarrass us !" she smiled.
Uff, she smiles too "chill you guys maa is not that judge-mental." he laughed.
She continues asking "aapke dad ?" doesn't know why but enquired maybe to kill the awkwardness.
"We lost papa few years back due to heart attack. Its just me and maa now !" he says feeling upset.
"I am sorry, mujhe pata nahi tha .." apologized to him while aarav hugged sidharth.
"It's me too after all friends r like family haina ?"
aarav told sidharth who agreed "true, waise aur kitne dino tak yeh patti khulne hai ?" sidharth's concern clearly visible.
"Two more days to go !" aarav excitedly, replied "uske baad hum roz football khailenge." aarav is desperately waiting to get rid of the plaster.
"G nahi .. aap school jaoge !" shehnaaz reminds him "oh nooo !!" face palms himself "admission hogaya champ ?" sidharth questions.
