Fuck this place smells...
The room was musty, that's for certain. And like the rest of this hellish place, smelt strongly of paint and old, used painting materials.
It was a disgusting smell.
Sighing, you eyed the window again – aggravation seeping back into your skin. You moved slowly away from your position next to Ib and ended up on one side of the bookshelf in the middle. With a surprising amount of strength, even more so considering, you pushed the bookshelf so that it blocked the window; too annoyed at seeing it.
No point in having a window if it can't be seen out of.
Garry, you noticed out of the corner of your eye, had moved to check the isolated empty canvas that sat sadly in the corner of the room. "'If you're tired why not rest? You'll never be hurt again...'" Garry spoke, reading the writing on the lonely canvas before attempting to add in his own input, "Well that's..."
You scoffed at the words, "That only makes me less willing to—" A harsh cough broke up your speech, you brought a hand to your mouth and continued to keep it there when the coughing stopped "—To rest in this place..."
Where the fuck did that come from!?
Garry didn't laugh at your words; instead looking increasingly concerned. Don't look at me like that, please... He opened his mouth, as he was more than likely going to inquire about your health, considering his somewhat distressed expression, but you cut him off quickly.
"I know what you're going to ask. Yes, I'm fine," You said, giving a smaller raspier cough into your hand. "It's just a cough... No doubt from all the dust in this godforsaken place..."
You turned back around to look at the books that graced the shelves, only to find that they were fakes...? It was just the spines of books that had been stuck to the shelf, making it appear more full than it was.
