Minho hadn’t anticipated anything unusual happening when he and his friends were hanging around town that afternoon. They’d been wandering through some of the quieter streets, talking about where to head next, when Minho’s gaze caught on a group of people approaching from the other direction. Leading them was a guy about his age with bright eyes and a confident stride that immediately drew Minho’s attention.
His friends noticed the group as well, sharing skeptical looks. But before they could say anything, Minho muttered, “Go on ahead. I’ll catch up.”
He wasn’t entirely sure why he wanted his friends to leave, but he didn’t need to explain. After giving Minho curious glances, they shrugged and turned away, heading down the nearest street. Across from him, the stranger, Jisung, noticed his friends leaving and raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued.
Thinking Minho was preparing for something confrontational, Jisung leaned over to his own friends. “Head out without me, alright? I’ll handle this,” he said, thinking a fight might be on the horizon.
With nods of understanding, his friends slowly walked off, leaving only Jisung and Minho on the quiet street. The two exchanged looks, each gauging the other’s intentions. As they stood in silence, Minho suddenly spoke.
“Follow me,” he said, the words coming out more as a challenge than a request.
Jisung didn’t miss a beat, curious but cautious, and followed him through a narrow alleyway, winding between tall buildings with walls covered in faded graffiti. The air felt tense as they finally came to a stop. The empty alley, with its peeling walls and dim light, was exactly the kind of place where Jisung would expect a fight to break out.
“So… we’re doing this?” Jisung asked, bracing himself, half-expecting Minho to throw a punch.
But Minho stayed quiet, staring at him in a way that was hard to read. Just as Jisung was about to ask again, Minho took a step forward, closing the distance between them. In an instant, he reached out, grabbing Jisung by the front of his shirt. But instead of a shove or a punch, Minho pulled him into a sudden, intense kiss. Jisung was taken completely off-guard, but he quickly melted into it, instinctively grabbing Minho’s jacket as he kissed him back just as fiercely.
They both knew they had to leave the alley eventually, but neither of them wanted to break away from each other. Without a word, Minho took Jisung’s hand, leading him back to his place. The entire walk was a blur, the adrenaline from the unexpected kiss making the world around them feel dreamlike.
Once they were back at Minho’s apartment, they continued where they’d left off, lips meeting again in a passionate kiss as soon as the door shut behind them. But this time, after a few moments, Jisung hesitated. He took a step back, running a hand through his hair as he collected his thoughts.
“Wait… this… this doesn’t make sense,” he murmured, glancing at Minho. “I mean, I just kissed someone I don’t even know. It doesn’t feel right.” He seemed genuinely torn, his eyes flickering with uncertainty.
Minho took a deep breath, moving closer. “Jisung, you didn’t do anything wrong,” he said softly. “I want this… I want you. I wouldn’t have done it if I didn’t mean it.”
The sincerity in Minho’s voice broke through Jisung’s hesitation. He sat down beside Minho on the edge of the bed, locking eyes with him. For a long moment, they simply stared at each other, the tension between them thick.
After a silence, Minho gave him a playful look and smirked. “Got a problem or something?”
Jisung laughed softly, his cheeks flushing a bit as he shook his head. “Yeah. You’re way too beautiful to be sitting here next to me.”
And with that, Jisung leaned in, pulling Minho into another deep kiss, this time letting go of his reservations. The connection they shared in that moment felt powerful, more real than either of them had expected. They spent the rest of the night talking, laughing, and learning every little thing about each other.
From that night forward, the unexpected kiss in the alley was only the beginning. Minho and Jisung found themselves drawn to each other, realizing that something special had sparked between them. They kept seeing each other, their connection deepening with every meeting, until neither could imagine their lives without the other.
