liz arrived at the mansion from visiting Blair "hopefully kid and patty are sleeping " liz thought to herself as she unlocked the door to the mansion entering inside a dark living room she closed the door behind her silently hoping not to wake anyone up suddenly a light was lit behind her she turned around and kid was right there sitting on a chair next to a lamp with a cup of tea in his hand as if he was waiting for her " it's a bit late to be going out isn't it?" Kid said taking a sip of his tea liz froze in silence trying to think of a good excuse to tell him " what's the matter liz? Had a nightmare and decided to go out for a bit? " kid said calmly as if he knew she was up to something " yea that's it kid... just a nightmare kid i needed some fresh air that's all " liz said hoping kid would buy her excuse " hmm interesting " kid said taking another sip from his tea " I'm going to go sleep now kid goodnight " liz said as she began to take a couple of steps to her room " very well goodnight " kid said
The next day at class Stein was teaching his lesson of dissecting " so you must be careful on this part otherwise you'll receive some poison from the frog any questions? Good I'll bring some frogs tomorrow and you guys will work in pair's class dismiss " Stein said writing on the chalk board everyone rushed out of the classroom finding their partner to work with " hey kid do you have a partner yet ? " maka said standing in front of him " no i'm still available at the moment " kid said replying to maka " oh where's patty how come your not partnered with her ? " maka said curiously " she's sick... where's soul ? " kid said " well liz insisted to be soul's partner for some reason so do you wanna be my partner kid?" maka said looking at his eye's " i suppose so since this is a grade " kid said looking away from her maka grabbed his arm and started running outside " umm maka where are you taking me? " kid said questioning " to the library so we can talk about the assignment and research it for tomorrow " maka said the two meisters walked into the library grabbing some books of dissecting and sat a table " hmm interesting things on this book " maka said as she flipped the page of the book " i don't know how Stein can be so obsessed with dissecting things " kid said as he started to take notes " haha right " maka said as she giggled on what kid said " hehe yea it's true some people are so obsessed with things " kid said " but your obsessed with symmetry... " maka said knowing that she wasn't suppose to say that " haha i can't help it maka " kid said smiling maka was suddenly shocked that kid didn't take it offensively " this is surprisingly shocking i thought he was going to react differently" maka thought to herself she then had an idea she grabbed a book that was stacked with other books on top of the table and hid it under the table " hey kid how many books did we get? " maka said " we got eight books maka " kid said distracted by his notes " are you sure kid can you make sure again?" Maka said hoping he would notice " one, two, three, four, five, six, seven.... " kid said with horror in his eyes " what's wrong kid? " maka said trying not to laugh " there's seven books ! Seven is a asymmetrical number! " kid said panicking " haha it's right here " maka said laughing as she pulled a book from underneath the table " haha you nearly scared me to death maka " kid said laughing maka placed the book on top of the table her hand still on the book kid went back to his notes he reached his hand on the book not knowing maka's hand was on it until he felt it he looked up at her both of them blushing both of them making eye to eye contact it stayed like that for a good moment until kid took his hand off " I'm so sorry maka i didn't know your hand was still there " kid said blushing " it's okay...kid no harm done " maka said blushing the two meisters finished studying and headed back to their homes
" so did you find out anything blair? " liz said hoping their was news " it looked so cute they were laughing and they had an awkward hand to hand moment for a while the best part was that they didn't know i was there " blair said " haha thanks blair I'll see you tomorrow " liz said as she and blair departed blair rushed to maka's room in her cat form " hey maka i found out an amazing discovery!" Blair said happily " oh what is it? " maka said curiously " i finally saw you and your boyfriend together!! " blair said smirking at her " what !! What boyfriend i don't even have one !! " maka said annoyed and in anger " i saw you guys at the library you guys were laughing and he had your hand it looked so adorable " blair said " it was an accident! Wait a minute how did you see this? " maka said blushing and looked at Blair suspiciously blair froze in silence for a moment until she finally spoke " oh i umm was going to check on you to see how you were doing " Blair said hoping maka would believe her " okay is that all you saw ? " maka said " yup that's all i saw well goodnight maka I'll be on my way " Blair said leaving her room maka stood up to turn the lights off and went back to bed " funny how Blair checked on she never checks on me i don't believe a word she has said she must be up to something but what?" maka thought to herself as she slowly drifted to sleep
