flashback

Elodie and Scott sat on a hill overlooking Beacon Hills; they were on a date.
"So how did you find this place?" Elodie asks.

"I was exploring," Scott says, brushing her hair back. "Plus, this could be our spot," Elodie smiles, feeling touched by Scott's words. "Our spot, huh? I like the sound of that," she says, leaning in to kiss him on the cheek. Scott wraps his arm around her, pulling her closer as they both gaze out at the view before them.

"So what is your plan after high school?" Scott asks.

"If we even survive through high school," Elodie says, chuckling. "But I've been thinking about going to college to study nursing," she adds, looking up at the stars beginning to appear in the darkening sky.

"What about you? What are your plans?" Elodie asks.

"Become a vet," he replies, a smile playing on his lips. "I've always loved animals, and I think it would be a fulfilling career," Scott says, his eyes reflecting the starlight above.

"So what about relationships? Scott asks, making Elodie look at him confused.

"What do you mean?" Elodie responds, raising an eyebrow. "I mean, do you see yourself in a relationship during college or after?" Scott clarifies, a hint of nervousness in his voice.

Elodie gives Scotta a smirk before laughing. "Scott McCall, are you asking me if I see a future with us?" she teases, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "I guess we'll just have to wait and see where life takes us," she adds playfully, leaving Scott feeling both intrigued and hopeful.

"Do you see yourself having kids in the future?" he asks after some silence.

"At no, when I was 13, I guess I just closed that door of thinking about kids and focused on other aspects of my life," Elodie responds, her tone thoughtful. "But who knows what the future holds? I'm open to the idea if it feels right." This openness and honesty from Elodie put Scott at ease.

"Do you want kids?" she asks, genuinely curious about his thoughts on the matter. Scott takes a moment to consider before responding, "I've always imagined having a family of my own one day, but I'm also open to whatever life has in store for me." Elodie nods in understanding.

"I don't know what the future has in store for us, but I know that I want to spend the rest of my life with you," she says

"I love you, Scott McCall."

"I love you, Elodie Hale."
