Author's pov-

Shoto was just now waking up in recovery girl's office. The room was empty, he had only been asleep for an hour or so. He sat up in bed and looked around the room adjusting to the new setting. After his fight with his sister, he was exhausted. He glanced at the clock that was above his door seeing that the sports festival would now be over.

He heard his phone ring on the table beside the bed, looking at it he saw Natsuo's contact name. Groggily he grabbed his phone and answered.

"Hello?" Shoto yawned rubbing his eyes.

"You're awake good. Look there's something I need to tell you." Natsuo said.

Shoto immediately sat up straighter paying attention. "What do you mean?" He asked.

"It's about y/n. Her fight against Bakugo went a little sideways." Shoto felt his heart drop to the floor. He was always worried about you whether you liked it or not. Sure you were slightly older but he and you were equally bonded and scared of losing the other.

"Is she okay??" Shoto asked frantically.

"She will be, her quirk... developed? I don't know how to word it. She must've been feeling some type of way during her fight with Bakugo because her ice well changed." Natuso responded.

"How did it change?" Natsuo sighed.

"Do you remember when Touya's fire turned blue? It's similar. Y/n's emotion seem to be attached to her quirk like his were. We think she was angry but more than normal, her ice turned orange. It was much more cold, but also sharper. Her body obviously has never experienced something colder than her or her normal ice. It overwhelmed her."

Shoto kept listening and he felt his heart pounding through the anxiety.

"She passed out again. It exhausted her body and we think she will be in a coma for at most 5 days. It's nothing too severe, thankfully. After her fight recovery girl had her transferred to the hospital because Y/n can't stay at school overnight alone. I know you're still tired so I'll send a car for you whenever you are ready." Natuso explained.

Shotos breath relaxed a little bit, he immediately got up and changed into the outfit next to his bed Fuyumi brought after his match.

"Send them, I'm perfectly fine I just need to change." He said into the phone as he walked into Recovery girl's restroom to change.

"Alright, the car will be there in 10. She will be okay Shoto, I know your worried but it will all work out." Natuso said and they exchanged their goodbyes.

When Shoto got to the hospital he went straight to the front desk.

"Where can I find Y/n Todoroki's room??" He asked frantic.

"Are you family sir?" The receptionist asked.

"Yes, I'm her twin brother." He responded.

"She is in room 316, just use the elevator and take a left down the hallway." The lady directed.

"Thank you." He ran to the elevator and up to your room.
