tali rodriguez was walking with susie wolff by her side. tali had their coffees and jack's hot chocolate while susie carried their food.

the older woman was telling her about the new project she would be working on this year.

f1 academy.

susie wanted her to be one of the faces of it. teaching all the girls more about the highest category in motorsport.

tali agreed without hesitation.

as they reached the hospital entrance, susie stopped her.

"tali." the woman said.

"yeah?" she turned towards the blond.

"why are you doing this?" tali was smart. very. she knew what susie meant.

"because it would be hard for you to carry both the food and the drinks." tali said as she kept walking with the woman.

after a breathy laugh susie shook her head and said "you know what i meant, tali."

she just sighed.

"he's been a huge support since january. he's my friend and it's the least i could do." she said as they turned into another hallway.

"you could've gone with your family for an extra week." susie wondered.

"i had planned to stay a week here anyways." tali lied.

"really? your mom said you called just last week to tell them you had changed your mind and that you would come here instead." the wolff woman said knowingly.

when she called karla to catch up she didn't expect to find this out but oh well.

"i- well- you know- maybe, i-" the teenager stuttered as they reached the hallway with elias' room.

"you know." tali said in defeat.

before she could reply jack came running looking for his hot chocolate saying elias would come out of surgery in 30 minutes.

elias wolff was still sleepy when they wheeled him into his room. after breakfast everyone was sitting inside the room on the small couch and chairs waiting for him to come out.

the first thing tali saw was one of the guys wheeling him in holding in a laugh. then, another nurse giggled at something and then, she heard him.

"'cause i can't help it if you look like an angel, can't help it if i wanna kiss you in the rain!"

elias wolff was singing 'hey stephen' by taylor swift. quite horribly, might i add.

"i love that song!" the boy told another nurse.

"that's great, elias." the guy replied as he looked at his coworkers in amusement.
