Waking from my slumber I feel rested and comfortable, snuggled up within thick layers of bedding. I notice the soft circling pattern of fingertips tracing the back of my hand. Fluttering my eyes opening and adjusting to the daylight flooding into the room my vision lands on the pale face of Jack who's looking down at his circling finger. Not able to stop the smile that pulls on my lips I breath out deeply which alerts the cold boy laying in front of me that I'm now awake.

"Y/n! I didn't know you had woken up, how did you sleep?" He seems caught off guard but quickly relaxes into his sentence.

"Well, really well actually!" I beam, a sense of peace and hope in my veins. I'm not too sure why but something is telling me to be positive. I guess a good night sleep is what I needed, who would have thought?

"Good" he smiles sitting up, it's only now that I notice that he's also sporting a pair of flannel pajamas, I wonder if Jack put up a debate with North over wearing them or was easily swayed. Hang on, did Jack sleep last night or was he too busy playing night guard because of me...?

"Wait did you sleep or stay-" I join him in sitting up, only getting a little of my sentence out before I'm cut off.

"I did sleep, I slept well. It was reassuring to have you next to me." Jack begins sounding reassuring but his tone withers out to a more sheepish sound. A pink tint faintly dancing across his lightly freckled cheeks. "Come on, let get up and start the busy day."

Jack stands to his feet and grabs my hand, pulling me to stand on the cold, wooden floors too, duvet draped over my shoulders. I'm ready to return to my room and get my self sorted.

Now dressed and rested I exit my room with a hop in my step and wander through the halls to enter the main workshop space with the globe. That's bound to be where the guardians are, and low and behold I am right. Walking through the arch wag of the hall I see the three of them seeming to be listening intently to Jack who's back is turned to me. I can't hear what is being said but by the time I make it remotely close enough it seems the conversation is over, lighter expressions pulling over everyone's faces.

"What's going on this morning?" I address the group, slightly curious as to what's happening. Maybe something happened over night? Seeing everyone's faces it couldn't have been that serious right?

"Well uh, I was mentioning that you had a scare with Pitch last night." Jack speaks up turning to look at me as North flicks him a look. This isn't all, they're not telling me something. Maybe it's about me? Hmmm...

"What did you see, Y/n? We'd like to know from source." North steps up, a curious look in his eyes.

"I woke up with a jolt last night and when I opened my eyes I saw his presence looking in the corner, and his eyes..." a physical shiver runs up my spine just reimagining it. "Yellow eyes opened and felt like they stared into my soul." I recount the events, feeling a little creeped out once again.

A quivering of golden lights snaps away my attention from my peripheral vision, we all look at the globe struggling to hold onto to an alarming amount of believers lights. Oh no.

"What are we going to do?" Tooth frowns, fluttering about near the globe as we gaze at it with worry. Luckily, there's a little optimism from the guardian of hope himself.

"Hey, buck up ya sad sacks!" Bunny hops onto the console to address us all "We can still turn this around! Easter is tomorrow, and I need your help!" He stands up proud, pointing a finger and grinning a smile filled with determination. "I say we pull out all the stops and we get those little lights flickering again!" Bunny turns around, the once brightly lit home country now looking dull and sad.

"Bunny is right!" North declares, striding off down the hall and throwing open a pair of large, intricately carved, wooden doors. "As much as it pains me to say, old friend, this time Easter is more important than Christmas!" Bunny's jaw almost drops straight off its hinges.

"Hey!" He gawks with disbelief, it's hard to sweep the words out of his mouth, this is a big deal! "Did everyone hear that?!" Jack and I smile knowingly at Bunny who's basically bouncing with joy now down the hall.

"We must hurry to the Warren. Everyone, to the sleigh!" North doesn't interrupt his stride as he leads us in the direction of the stables.

"Oh no, mate." Bunny grins a smirk "My Warren, my rules." We all come to a stop and the look glistening in Bunny's eye tells me we're in for a ride "Buckle up." With a double thump of his foot a massive hole opens up beneath the guardians, Jack and I and we are swept off our feet.

"Shostakovich!" I hear North utter out before it's too late!

Along with everyone else sliding and tumbling through the mossy, lush green tunnels I squeal out feeling joy, a little rush of excitement and of course thrill from the airtime sensation. Patches of light peak through splotches of the tunnel, a soft glow illuminating the chaos of everyone slipping about, but hey! It's fun!

Finally the light at the end of the tunnel arrives and the first of us shoot out the end, a crush of thumps and jingles filling out ears. A cold hand wraps around me tightly, the chill spreading goosebumps across my skin. As myself and Jack are thrown out from the tunnel he quickly adjusts back in control and gently floats us down, avoiding a crash landing. How kind of him. Now with my feet on the leafy, soft grassy ground decorated with little clovers and leaves, I can't help but chuckle at the disheveled North tangled with a few yetis and elves, tooth dizzily fluttering above.

"Aha- Buckle up..." North chuckles to himself and sits up. "Is very funny!" This earns a small smirk and chuckle from the Bunnymund himself.

"Welcome to the Warren!"
