Aaliyah's POV

'Mom, I'm fine' I say as I walk into the kitchen

'But Aaliyah you don't sound like yourself' Mom says as she requests to face time me

I accept her face time and pop my phone up on the counter so she can see me

'You're pale as a ghost!' Mom says making me throw my back in frustration

'Mom I'm fine' I say giggling

'Are you sure?' Mom says

'She's perfectly fine Debby' Richie says poking his head into the face time

'There's my favourite son-in-law!' Mom gushes making all of us laugh

'How are you, Debby?' Richie says taking my phone and walking away to sit down with the guys again

'Who said you could take my phone?' I say turning around

'I did but Richie's trying to tell me something so be quiet for a minute' Mom says making me scoff

'Love you too Mom' I say sarcastically

You know sometimes I feel my mom loves Richie and the boys more than she loves me. They are the definition of Son In Law and Mother In Law.

Richie and I aren't married yet but my family already think of him as a son or brother anyway.

I take some yoghurt and fruit out of the fridge since the guys are too busy speaking to my mom

'Oh, Aaliyah!' I hear Mom say

'Yeah?' I say

'Your cousin Aria is getting married in 8 months and she invited you and the boys to the wedding' Mom says excitedly

'Mom I haven't spoken to Aria in six years' I say walking over to the phone

'I know that' Mom says

'So why would I take my boyfriend and his best friends to someone's wedding I haven't spoken to in six years?' I say

'She might've been trying to be kind' Mom says

'It's Aria Mom' I say and then walk back to the counter to continue making my breakfast

'She misses you' Mom says

'Well she shouldn't have tried to sleep with my ex then and maybe I'd speak to her' I say

'I thought you were over that?' Mom says

'You know what Aaliyah's like' Richie teases making me flip him off

Timeskip

'Babe?' Richie says knocking on the bathroom door

'Yeah' I say drying my hair with the towel

'Can I come in?' Richie says

'Yeah' I say

Richie walks into the bathroom and smirks as he sees I'm still in my towel

'Now this sight I like seeing' Richie says softly touching my waist and making me suck in a breath

'I've just got out of the shower' I say trying not to pay attention to the way Richie's making me feel

'So?' Richie says peppering kisses along my shoulder

'The guys are still here' I say

'They went home' Richie says
