(What's Milo saying??)

I smiled as I dragged my suitcase out of LAX and into the bright sunlight. I checked my phone and looked around for the Uber that would take me to Liza Monjauze. I found it and walked over to the dark gray vehicle.

I stared out of the window as I drove through Los Angeles. It wasn't a long drive compared to what I was used to, living in y/c.

I exited the vehicle and walked up to the large white building. I marveled at the stained glass windows and the beautiful outdoor seating area filled with colourful students. A cheerful woman in a olive-green blazer approached me, smiling.
"Y/N?" She asked, then without pausing, continued"I'm Nicole, and I'll be your supervisor/tour guide for the duration of your exchange. Anything that you need or wonder about, come ask me and I'll help." I nodded and followed as she led me into the building.

She brought me to dorm 173, a large dorm with four beds. Three had colourful doonas on them, and the one on the left side of the window was bare, with just a blue mattress. There was a chest of drawers at the foot of each bed, and two desks. I placed my bags on my bed and walked around the room.

I walked into the conjoined bathroom, which was tiled the same blue as the mattress. There was a wide, shallow basin with a cabinet below it and a mirror above it. There was two showers and a toilet in a seperate cubicle in the corner.

I walked back out and unpacked my things, putting my clothes in the chest of drawers, my pillows and doona on my bed, and my bathroom things in the bathroom. Then I strode over to Nicole and told her I was done. She nodded and took me downstairs, continuing the tour.

We waked through a student lounge with grey high-walled couches and low wooden tables. We walked through a kitchen with a black and white tiled floor and wooden benchtops and cupboards.

We walked through a rec area with a pool table and high stools around small round tables. We walked through a movie theatre with grey beanbags and a large movie screen.

Then we walked into the audtorium. It was full of students, about a thousand. As we entered, they fell silent and turned to stare at us. My cheeks burned with embarassment.

Then  a girl with curly red hair waved at me. I waved back.
"Go sit with her." Urged Nicole. So I did.

As I slid into the seat next to the girl, she smiled a freckled smile at me. I noticed she had a little gap in between her front teeth.
"I'm Madison." She said in a fast voice. "Are you new here?" I nodded,
"Yeah. I'm Y/N" Madison's eyes widened,
"Whoa. That's a cool accent! Where are you from?" I blushed,
"y/c." She grinned,
"That's so cool! I grew up in LA, but my parents were from Ireland!" I laughed,
"That explains the red hair."

"What dorm are you in?" She asked. I though for a moment, then replied,
"173." She laughed again,
"No way. Me too!" Then Madison turned to her friend that were sitting in the row next to her and introduced them.

"Oh! This is Alexis," She motioned to a girl with long brown hair and braces who waved and smiled, "Jessica," She pointed to a girl with blonde hair and big green eyes who lowered them bashfully, "Ryan," She pointed to a boy with sandy blonde curls who grinned at me, "And Milo. Guys, this is Y/N." She finished, gesturing to the last person in our row. He had fluffy  brown hair and big chocolatey eyes. He grinned lopsidedly and said,
"Hey, Y/N." I smiled back,
"Hi, Milo."
