-Lexa's POV-
She drove us ten minutes away from the house, until we reached a large trail area. Climbing out of the car, I pulled my sun glasses on. Clarke smiled at me, then took my hand.
"Welcome to Gray Springs." She said to me, leading me down a path. I was so caught up in looking at all the trees and flowers, I didn't even notice when we stopped. In front of us was a huge vine wall. Clarke took my hand. "Feel like taking a climb, I promise you you'll like what you see at the top." She said.
"Clarke," I said nervous.
"Don't worry, I'll be right behind you." I sighed, then grabbed a vine. Pulling myself up, I planted my foot in a small crevasse. Lifting myself up, I hung from the vine. Clarke started to climb up behind me, hanging on with one arm. Her other hand was on the back of my legs. "You're okay." She told me. I smiled, pulling myself up farther. Planting my foot on top of a rock, I looked down at Clarke.
"I'm kind of stuck." I said, and she laughed. She pulled herself, moving from vine to vine. This wasn't even hard for her.
"Okay, grab this vine, and then put your foot in the crevasse." She said, pointing to different things. I fallowed her directions, and then I was only one pull away from the top. Pulling myself up, I lifted myself on top of the wall. I saw Clarke smiling at me, as she pulled herself the rest of the way up. Sitting beside me, she wrapped her arm around my shoulder.
"So where's this view I'll love?" I asked, and she took my hand. Leading me up a small path, there was a catch in my breathing. Ahead of us was a beautiful small stream, and above it was a small waterfall. Clarke smiled at me.
"You like it?" She asked.
"I love it." I said, turning to kiss her.
We sat at the edge of the stream, are legs in the water. Clarke rested her head on my shoulder, splashing me with water. I smiled, kissing her temple. We sat like this for hours, until it started to get dark.
"We should get going." She told me, lifting me to my feet. We walked down the other side of the path, and eventually found her jeep. Climbing into the passenger seat, Clarke started the jeep up. Once we left, I spoke up.
"Can I ask you a question?" I asked her.
"Of course." I smiled.
"Why won't you visit your mom?" Her shoulders stiffened, but I knew she needed to talk about it.
"Because she won't talk to me."
"Well maybe you should try Clarke. I think it make you feel better." She shook her head.
"No. It won't." I sighed.
"I hate seeing you like this. I know it bothers you Clarke, and I just want you to be happy."
"I'll be happy if we don't visit her, okay?" She said, tension in her voice. I just nodded.
"Yah, fine." I slumped back in the seat, seeing her shoulders slacken.
"I'm sorry. I just don't really want to talk to her since she'll just stare at me and cry." She said, and I took her hand.
"I get it. I'm sorry for pressing the matter." She sighed.
"It's not your fault, I should talk to her someday. Just not today." I nodded.
"Whenever you're ready, I'll be here for you." She smiled at me.
"I love you." She said.
"I love you too." I said, kissing her hand.
We pulled up into her driveway, parking the jeep in the garage. I climbed out, waiting for Clarke. She took my hand, leading me inside. Neither of us were really hungry, so we just went up to her room. Once we changed, we laid in her bed watching Netflix.
