'How do you like your new phone' you asked Steve

You looked over at him and he seemed distressed.

'This thing is so confusing.' He muttered.

He started tapping the screen of his new iPhone really hard.

'Here, let me help.' You offered.

You stood up and sat next to him.

'What don't you get?' You asked curiously

'Everything!' Steve said bluntly

You laughed as you waited for him to elaborate

'What is this i-Message? I am not a message, I am a person.' He said getting frustrated.

'What phone is this again?' He asked

'It's an Apple-' he cut you off

'Apple! See! This thing isn't an apple and I know that as a fact!' He concluded.

'Honey, calm down.' You said rubbing his back.

He took a few deep breaths before handing you the iPhone.

'Can you teach me?' He asked

You looked at him and he looked defeated. Steve had been your boyfriend for a few years and you had never seen him this defeated.

'Of course I can.' You agreed.

You unlocked the iPhone that Steve had given you so it showed the home screen.

'This green app with-' you began

'What's an app?' Steve asked

'All of these are apps.' You said pointing to all the various apps on the screen.

Steve nodded.

'This is iMessage, where you text.' You explained

'Can I try?' Steve begged

You handed the phone to him and he tapped a few times before the phone crumbled in his hands.

'Oops..' He moaned.

'Well.. It looks like we're heading back to Apple!' You exclaimed while standing up from the couch

'C'mon, let's go.' You said pulling Steve up from the couch.

He wrapped his arms around your waist and pulled you into a hug.

'What would I do without you?' He confessed

'Don't know.. Break iPhones all day with your super strength?' You said sarcastically

You heard him laugh and he looked you in the eyes

'I mean it, (Y/N). I really love you.' He whispered.

He leaned in and placed a soft and gentle kiss on your mouth. You couldn't help but notice how warm his lips were, you would never get used to them.

'Let's go get you that new phone.' You said to Steve,

'Fine, only for you.' He said smiling.

He walked out your front door as you followed behind

'Where's Steve Jobs when you need him..' You mumbled to yourself.

'Steve what? I already have a job!' Steve exclaimed before climbing into the car.

'Oh my...' You chuckled.

Sure Steve was new to this generation, but that's what makes you love him even more. He's unique, and he's yours.
