Riker and Vanessa

I waited in the courtyard at school for Jack. I don't know what he is going to ask me but I really want to know. I had to ditch Riker after last period even though he didn't care where I went, he just rolled his eyes and walked off. What is his problem?
"Hey Vanessa!" I was snapped out of my thoughts by Jack heading my way. I smiled and waved, being polite. Which Riker is not anymore.
"Hey Jack. So what did you want to ask me?" I asked, sitting on the nearest bench.
"I was wondering," he started,"if you wanted to go on a date with me tonight?" My heart stopped beating for a nano second. Did he just ask me on a date? I was freaking out so much that I zoned out and forgot to answer him.
"Of course! What time?"
"I will pick you up at 7:00." He replied before walking off. Once he was out of sight, I squealed with happiness. I was interrupted by the jerk AKA Riker coming towards me. He looked a mess. Messy hair, Unclean clothes, Bad breath. Why did he even come to school?
"What do you want?" Being annoyed as I am, he is still my best friend and I live with him now. Oh yeah, mine and Laura's parents now live in Italy and we now live with the Lynch's. So no escaping Jerk-face now, no sir.
"I just came to see my best friend," he says sweetly with the most hideous smile ever,"and to tell her that free period is over and that we have to get to class." He said not so sweetly, being a jerk once more.
"Go on without me, I'll meet you there, I just have to text Rydel and see if she will help me get ready for my date with Jack tonight." I tell him as I pull out my phone. I hear him scoff and walk across the grass. What has Riker turned into? One day he is so sweet and the next he is a complete and utter jerk.

6:30pm...
I am sitting in my room, on my phone, waiting for Rydel to help me get ready. I have already had a shower, dried my hair and picked out my outfit. What's taking her so long? Half an hour ago she said that she was only going to be 5 minutes, but I guess she was wrong.

Rydel- Was I really that long?
Vanessa- Yeah. I eventually I just had to get ready without you.
Laura- No time for chit chat, carry on. Vanessa you do know that yours and Riker's story is probably the longest, right?
Vanessa- Pfft, of course I did.
Laura- *gives her a look*
Vanessa- Ok I didn't know.
Laura- JUST CARRY ON THE STORY BEFORE I DO!
Vanessa- You don't know the story.
Laura- You told me it 50 times, IN A ROW!
Vanessa- Ok I will carry on.

6:59 pm
I had just finished getting ready, when I heard a knock at the door. I dashed down the stairs and screamed at everyone not to open the door. I prepared before opening the door. There stood a handsome looking Jack.
"You look beautiful, Vanessa." He said, taking my hand. I them hear everyone from the living room shhing us. They are watching an animal documentary.
"Ready to go?" Jack asks. I nod and we walk out of the house.

Riker
As soon as Vanessa and Jack walked out the door, I exclaimed, "We have to talk about Vanessa!"
