Chapter- 6
Sweet NightHim
Living in a villa side has its perks. Especially during winter, when kids can roam freely around the silent road and play. Mustafa had always loved living here but Zainab always preferred the busy side of the country.
“Hania! Be careful.” Baba said and jogged to his granddaughter, who was trying to learn roller skating but slipped after taking a few steps while carrying Kizar.
“Where is Masira and Asiya?” Mubeen asked his eldest son, Omar, who is 9 years old, and Ma sha Allah, a hafiz ul Quran.
“They are in the park with Asim and they refuse to come out, Abbu.” Asiya was Muniz bhai's elder daughter, who is 6 years old, the same as Mubeen bhai's second born, Masira.
“I guess, Kizar is also with them?” Muniz asked, confused. Mubeen and Mustafa were amused but stayed quiet.
“No, chachu. He is with Baba.” Omar pointed at Zakariya, his grandfather, and Muniz tsk.
“He is growing old before me.” Mubeen teased and slapped his shoulder.
“I can even see grey hairs,” Mustafa said.
“It's called stress.”
“Bhai, you need to find a good reason now. It's getting old just like you.” Mustafa said and started laughing with Mubeen.
“Wait until your kids grow, Mustafa,” Muniz said and shook his head.
Growing up, everything changed, but one thing that had stayed the same for Mustafa was his bond with his brothers, and he wished to keep it that way.
“So, how are you feeling?” Mubeen asked, taking the opportunity. They were alone and Zakariaya was also not with them.
“Scared and confused,” He sighed. “I am not able to enjoy a single moment. Instead, it's stressing me out.” Mustafa couldn't find the right words, but expressing feelings that are hard to explain can't be expressed in words.
“It's good to grieve but don't get stuck on it, Mustafa. One day, we all have to leave the world and nothing is permanent in this world. Wr shouldn't get emotionally attached to anything or else it might make it tough for us to focus on other responsibilities.
As Muslims, we have many responsibilities, especially toward deen, and being stuck on one thing with sorrow sometimes decreases our faith in Allah.
Grasp every opportunity to heal and rebuild yourself around the loss you suffered. And when I mean opportunity then it's connecting with Allah.”
“I heard this quote and it touched my heart,” Muniz said. “When our heart is truly connected with Allah, nothing or nobody can break our heart.”
Mustafa fell into deep thinking, grasping everything in. He knew it wasn't an easy road but for the sake of Allah, he was ready to ride on the journey and find solace for his restless heart.
The sole reason for him to re-marry.
