WE DID IT AGAIN.
I hadn't realized we are close to chapter L again for a second story that's wild.
We are reaching about halfway through the story.

Year 1894.
The late morning sun filtered through the tall windows of the estate onto the plush nursery carpet. Eri sat cross-legged on the floor, cradling her baby brother in her arms. Her pale skin still had the softness of youth, her glossy black hair tied into a loose braid that fell over one shoulder and her deep blue eyes stared with warmth. A soft lavender kimono with sakura petal fit her perfectly.
She rocked the tiny bundle in her arms gently. Y/N was just four months old and he was the happiest baby anyone in the household had ever seen. His golden hair caught the sunlight and his big golden eyes gazed up at her with absolute trust. He let out another joyful squeal so pure it made Eri beam.
"You only laugh, don't you? Never cry. Aren't you tired of being silly all the time?" Eri teased and brushed the tip of her nose against his. Y/N's tiny hands reached out to grab her cheeks with an adorable lack of coordination, his little fingers pressing into her skin like he thought she was a squishy toy.
"Ah, so bold!" she laughed and kissed the small hand that clung to her face. "You like that, don't you? Mischievous little man."
She lifted him gently into the air, his tiny white yukata handmade from the finest silk fluttered slightly as he kicked his legs. The outfit had gold embroidery around the edges, a family crest subtly stitched into the soft fabric. The loose sleeves were tied with matching ribbons to avoid tripping up his tiny arms. A miniature blue haori jacket barely the size of a handkerchief, completed the ensemble almost too extravagant for a baby but Eri didn't care. He looked perfect.
"You're a very fancy little man today, Y/N," she mused and shifted him back into her arms. "But still such a mess." She tugged lightly at the tiny, crooked bow tied around his waist. "You won't sit still long enough for me to fix this, will you?"
Y/N gurgled in response flashing her a gummy smile that turned into another round of giggles. His feet kicked rhythmically and Eri smiled. "Fine, fine, no adjustments. But you owe me a smile tax later," she teased.
She stood carefully, adjusting the folds of her kimono with one hand while holding Y/N securely against her hip.
"Let's go, little one," Eri said full of affection. "There's something outside I want to show you. Something fun and bright."
