Chapter 1: Tanks and Soda

In a military base, as shots were being fired, you fired Jesse in his assault rifle form and quickly took cover behind a pillar as Death the Kid fired Liz and Patty's pistol forms before taking cover behind a wall.

Jesse: "This did not go according to plan."

Kid: "Really? Cause when I woke up this morning I was so hoping to be turned into bloody, pasty, bits by an evil human that also became a supernatural cyborg."

The wall was then blown and Kid moved back a bit, and you looked to see an evil human that has been grafted with Military-grade weapons and resembles a bipedal Tank.

Patty: "Yeah, this boss level is not going to be easy as we thought."

You all looked and saw that the Evil Human has some openings in its armor.

"Okay, so there are some gaps in its armor, but they are small."

Kid: "Better than nothing. So who distracts it? Because I vote "not me" in this one."

"I'll flip a coin for this. You call first."

You tossed the coin in the air.

Kid: "Heads."

The coin landed, and Kid is displeased by the side it landed on.

"Tails."

Kid: "Damn it."

Jesse: "Good luck, Kid."

Kid: "I'm not -- oh wait."

Kid started firing the twins at the Evil Human to draw its attention as you made your way around.

Jesse: "Is trigger pinkie a thing? Because he's using those rapidly instead of his index fingers."

"I don't know, but if that was a thing, he'd be the first one to discover it."

On a platform you got a good view of the evil human as the scope on Jesse's weapon form changes.

Jesse: "This smart targeting is awesome."

You aimed, and when you got a lock on the exposed parts, you fired. The shots hit the parts, causing the evil human to fall, as well as breaking apart its armor. Kid then got on top and shot it into oblivion, leaving behind only the Evil Souls it was possessing.

"Okay, this thing nearly killed both of us, so let's just split it."

Kid: "Yeah, there's 60 of them. Even my share will be even enough for me."

Liz then transformed back into a human and began stretching.

Liz: "That was too close for comfort. Started to act up. I didn't even know that could happen in my weapon form."

Patty: "Same here."

Jesse: "My head still feels like it's buzzing."

"Well, I'm not going to be taking any hunting missions until at least two weeks."

Liz: "Same. Any of you guys want to go to Otto's when we get back to Death City? They serve pretty good soda."

Kid: "I was there once and the cans were perfectly symmetrical. So why not?"

Everyone returned to Death City and shared a drink at Otto's.

Liz: "So you and your brother seemed to be pretty close."

"Yeah. We kinda became thieves and robbers to survive, but then we met one of Death's top meisters and they offered us a better way to live."

Liz: "Same for me and Patty, except it was us meeting Kid."

"Well, here's to keeping a better life."

Liz held her soda up with you, and the two of you drank.
