CHAPTER SIXTEEN:
JEALOUSLY, JEALOUSLY
▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃

The huntress stares at the floor as memories of the men in the masks flood her mind. When she was younger, she used to have the worst nightmares. Nightmares so terrible, she sometimes never went back to sleep. And it was always the same nightmare, over and over again.

She was laid out and chained to a metal table as these three men in metal masks stood over her, poking and prodding at her with their tools. Elena could've sworn the nightmares were real, especially after waking up with needle marks, cuts, and bruises. However, her grandmother and father told her she was just dreaming, that there was nothing to worry about. The huntress believed them, well, up until now.

Marcos, Scott, Stiles, Deaton, Sheriff Stilinski, and Brett all come rushing down into the basement. The Calavera boy immediately notices his sister sitting up against the wall, tears falling from her eyes. The rest of the group stops to see Tracy Stewart's lifeless body, lying directly in front of her. Marcos wastes no time before running over to his sister, "Are you okay? Elena? What happened?" He questions, kneeling down to be eye-level with her.

Elena looks her brother in the eyes, noticing the worry that was radiating from them, "It wasn't me, Marcos. You have to believe me, okay? I didn't do this." She tells him, catching the rest of the pack's attention.

"What the hell happened to her?" Sheriff Stilinski asks while Marcos helps his sister back onto her feet.

Elena shakes her head, tear stains visible on her cheeks, "There were these people. They had masks. There were three of them, I think." She says, making eye contact with the pack as she spoke.

"What are you talking about?" Stiles questions, confused on what the huntress was saying as Brett walks over towards the Calavera girl, putting his jacket over her shoulders.

Elena ignores the boy's question, "They're strong. They had a weapon. Guys, I didn't do this." She pleads, the group looking at her with mixed emotions.

Marcos nods, "It's okay, we believe you." He reassures her, rubbing her shoulders to calm her down.

"She's not changing back. We're going to need to get her out of here," Deaton announces, hovering over Tracy's body to inspect it closely.

Sheriff Stilinski steps forward, "What? Hey, absolutely not. This is a crime scene. We call the coroner." He instructs, making the veterinarian furrow his eyebrows while looking up at the older Stilinski.

"I think the coroner might be very confused by this girl's severed reptilian tail," Deaton deadpans, trying to convince the Sheriff to let him take Tracy's body.
